Absolutely LOVED Watercourse! The food was my favorite in Denver. Do not miss out on the vegan chicken wings and vegan crab cakes! I wish I could've taken them home with me.

Wow, wow and more wow! This is what a vegan restaurant should be. It is (apparently) the oldest vegan/vegetarian restaurant in Denver. The place is around a 20-25 minutes walk from 16th Street Mall but totally worth it. It is also in an area with restaurants and bars which feel more local (none of your chain stores and restaurants that litter the 16th Street Mall). The decor is rustic ... in a welcoming way. The staff are incredibly nice and friendly. The charming Mary-Jane (should you get her as the person looking after you during your visit) is the sort of person that makes you feel at ease and genuinely helpful with regards to various options on the menu. Not that you need much help. It is all good. Everything is vegan (yes even the cheese). There are lots of gluten free options (be sure to tell them if you have an intolerance and they will prepare the food to avoid cross-contamination). And the food itself ... just heavenly.
Enjoyed the place so much that went back with some friends on the Friday. The place was busy (as one would expect). We got to sit at the bar. We were initially reluctant but it was in fact very comfortable. We were offered a table when one was available but we were comfortable so declined. There was a full menu available and we were looked after well. Again, the food was excellent. And did I mention that the desserts are superb too (and you can get almost all gluten free!). The Key Lime Pie, yum! and the Chocolate Cupcake, you may have a "Sally moment" (as in Harry met Sally).

Great vegetarian restaurant. They have dishes you would not expect in a vegan restaurant like the Sirloin steak. Still, it was great. It tasted quite real and I would definitely order it again. The fries had tasty spices and even the salad was good.
We had to get a cheesecake, and did not regret it.

All vegan/vegetarian little gem. Everything was amazing especially their kombucha on tap which flavors change on a regular basis. I will say that although each item was very creative which is very hard to do with vegan food, it might be a misconception that it is all healthy. The buffalo cauliflower was overly sauced and really hard to eat. That being said everything else was fabulous. Service could have been faster however with a great atmosphere i really didn't mind. Must try if you are meat free!

I am not remotely Vegan or Veggie, and I LOVE WaterCourse. Service is competent and friendly if sometimes a bit fuzzy and colorful. Slightly off-center in a delightfully delicious way which the menu will confirm. Try it for fun, and you'll return even if you still go to Uber Sausage on other days.
