My family and I are driving across country. We picked the Hampton be a use they ate usually really good, but this time was not. The pool was not heated and there was no hot tub. The breakfast was cold and skimpy.

This is an older Hampton Inn. Our room was cramped in comparison with other Hampton Inns we have been in and the surroundings were rather bare bones. The hotel is clean but it's not as nice as newer facilities. On the other hand, it is cheaper than the Hampton Inn-Air Force Academy farther north, and the location is good as it is near I-25. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is a good choice for the money if you are aware that it does not compare with newer inns in the chain.

Our overnight visit to Colorado Springs was made perfect with a stay at Hampton Inn Colorado Springs Central Air Force Academy. Very friendly staff...from the front desk to the breakfast staff!! Great Price for a very comfortable room!! Beds were comfy and the room and bathroom was very clean! Shower had great water pressure, and the layout was roomy and nice! The room we were in, was beautifully updated and had lovely white, soft bedding and pillows. Roomy and nice sitting area with a chair and little desk area with coffee service.
Breakfast was good...Waffle maker with toppings of pecans, almonds, raisins etc., bagles etc. Yogurt, fresh fruit, Sausage, juices and good coffee (also fresh in the lobby with cream and creamers). Within walking distance to three good restaurants, and in very close driving distance to lots of other restaurants and shopping. Comfortable, restful stay...We will be back!!!

Room Tip: We were on the 3rd floor in 317...was quiet and nice!!

Staff were excellent and more than accommodating with requests, Breakfast was excellent, Coffee always fresh in the lobby, Rooms very clean, Parking options plentiful, Great eateries close by.

Beds were too small - full versus double - so we were miserable. If we did not have other people with us, we would have slept separately! Also beds were squishy. Many people may love soft beds but we do not.

The decorating needs an update here. Dark halls, dark room. Brown tones. My room backed to a townhouse development so not much light coming in the window and noisy motorcycles going in and out of the alley until mid evening (room was on the "even" side of the hall). Room door did not fit well into frame. Facility was okay but not a pleasant room spend much time in.
