Couldn't figure out how they ran out of hamburgers (hence not excellent rating). But plan B was the prime filet which was delicious. Potatoes need a little more seasoning and umph-maybe a cheese added? On the plus column, it is located in the main building---a biggie if you are staying in that part of the hotel and it freezing weather.

If this restaurant were any place but the Broadmoor, it would quickly fail for serving over-priced bland food. Unlike the last time we were here a few years ago, the service met all of our Broadmoor expectations. But the food was lacking. The $29 Wagyu burger was forgettable; nothing special, with no presentation, just an expensive basic bacon cheeseburger. The short ribs were tender enough but the sauce needed more layers of flavor and wasn't plentiful enough to last until the last bite. The basil potato puree lacked any discernible taste of basil and was basically just paste on a plate. The carrots and peas looked just like they'd come out of a can, with evenly diced bland chunks. The only redeeming meal choice was the Caesar's salad. Though not made at the table, it had all of the expectations of a classic Caesar's with nice slivers of anchovies on top. On a weekend night we had no problem getting a table in the mostly-empty restaurant. The Broadmoor has instituted an automatic 20% service charge to all checks and though it is printed on the menu, our server also uncomfortably explained the new procedure. Overall we enjoyed our experience but only because it was the holidays and we were at the Broadmoor for an enjoyable evening, but we don't expect to return any time soon.

I have dined at many of Colorado Springs finer restaurants, including ones within this same hotel, and I do not believe I have ever been presented with such baseline food at such high prices. I have never had a problem with a $50 steak as long as it meets expectations. Red and tender enough for a fork. Not the case. Oysters Rockefeller that were dry and fairly devoid of flavor. A great baked potato but you would hope for $9! This was just a dinner experience that did not live up to expectations...until the bill came! Once was enough.

Usually take the ladies here for lunch on birthday every year. After a late lunch here with no one in the resturaunt at all. We were told to leave our table that it was booked for dinner. In a very rude manner by management. So we went to stand by the bar and finish our wine and again were told to leave by another employee again very rudely. I felt bad for our server. This is not 5 star service . Not worth 700$ lunch never never again.

Had lunch here after visiting the Air Force Academy. Both relaxing and refreshing. Both food and service were impeccable. We chose to linger a bit and did not feel rushed out. Already looking forward to our next visit.
