My sister and I stayed here while visiting Colorado Springs for a wedding. It was the perfect getaway-up in the mountains but still not too far from the city. The southwest style architecture and decorating touches were beautiful, and it was a perfect amount of space for the two of us! Our host Ann was so sweet and very accommodating with our weird schedule. This truly is a sanctuary in the mountains and I'd recommend it to anyone needing to get away from the hustle and bustle!
This was our 2nd visit to the Sanctuary and will not stay anywhere else in the Springs area. The views are spectacular, the location between Manitou Springs and Woodland Park is very convenient with beautiful drives. Price is competitive and very private.
Loved this cottage! It had all the little things from coffee creamer to organic shampoo and conditioner in the shower! Across the street from Pike's Peak with peaceful mountain view from the front porch with the sounds of hummingbirds whizzing by. Ann and Chuck were accomodating, gracious hosts who have clearly put careful thought into all the little charming details of this property. We were able to drive to the top of Pike's Peak, stop "home" to change and recharge then go down the street into Manitou Springs for excellent food and shopping. Old Colorado City is just past Manitou Springs and offers much of the same. Love the local art! Garden of the Gods is nearby and free! My favorite part was going to bed and waking up with the shutter style windows next to the bed wide open, looking out into the labyrinth garden Ann has created. Love this place, will always be a fond memory for my husband and I on our 20th wedding anniversary!
The location was great. We were so close to everything. Everyday we were able to do something fun and were table to come back and relax and just chill out. The view was breathtaking. Most of all our hosts Ann and Chuck were wonderful and gracious hosts. We had everything we needed as the guesthouse was perfect. I’m sure we will return. It was just what we needed. ☺️
This was my second visit to Sanctuary of the Rose, a beautiful cottage nestled in the mountains outside of Colorado Springs. As before, we were greeted warmly by our host, Ann, who made sure we had everything we needed. The house is cozy, warmly decorated, and stocked with books, games, and movies. Best of all, Ann has constructed a beautiful stone labyrinth outside the cottage where her guests can walk and reflect. Sanctuary of the Rose is a beautiful and peaceful retreat from our city lives and we will definitely return.
