Extremely equipped house. The kitchen is loaded with everything you could ever need to cook and bake, even some pantry items like flour, sugar, oil and spices. There are tons of books, board games, and a large television with satellite connection. The living room and bedrooms are very comfortable. The house has plenty of room to sleep and to relax. The hot tub was also enjoyed by some of our group. The self igniting fireplace gave a warm, cozy ambiance. The house has a very large balcony with a spectacular view and reflects the name of the house "soaring eagle". We saw many deer on our way up the mountain to the house. The hosts were very friendly and shared interesting experiences they have had with wildlife in the area. After giving us the initial tour, we did not see them again and were very happy with the privacy we enjoyed. It was a short weekend vacation, but it was an ideal place to stay. We would like to return for a longer visit. It was awesome.

I traveled to Cañon City with friends in order to go climbing at Shelf Road. This place was very nice and relaxing at the end of the days: the beds are very comfy, the hot tub is quite relaxing, and the fire pit was nice to use as well. The owner's were very gracious and showed us how everything worked when we got there. The only drawback to this place for us was the remoteness of it; it's about 45 minutes out from Cañon City itself so it's definitely best to cook meals in the house which is very easy to do with the well equipped kitchen. I'd definitely return to this place in the future if the opportunity presents itself.

Had a great time with my two teenage children. Lots of wildlife in the area.
The owners were very resourceful and attentive to our needs and desires. There mission was to make our staff as comfortable as possible.
Long drive to town, but with all the wildlife and beautiful country, it was really worth the drive.
Seen Elk and Mule Deer out in the yard, really amazing views.
The hot tub was a nice end to a day on the white water rapids.
The home was well furnished and stocked with everything we needed.

“Amazing Views”

We stayed here for three days on our rafting trip. It was a little bit of a drive from Canon City but well worth it. The owners were both very nice. Their property was amazing. They have everything you need except groceries of course, but as long as you stop at the grocery store on your way to the house you'll be fine. We all had a blast and are already planning on going back.
