Real barbeque! There is a great huge old smoker right out in front of this place, as you can see from the photos, and they smoke everything with Juniper wood.
We ate here twice in our eight days in Yreka. The first time we had a late lunch. It's very cheery and homey inside with a "country" type of decor. Service was friendly. You get free, all you can drink iced tea, lemonade and/or water, and they also have coffee and sodas. They offer a variety of homemade sauces to go with the meats.
I had a pulled pork sandwich which was delicious. My husband had the tri tip which also was delicious - very tender. We both enjoyed the baked beans but were not as fond of the coleslaw.
A few nights later, we stopped in for some take out. It technically was past closing time, but we took a chance and knocked on the door. No problem! We got tri tip, pork ribs and chicken to take back to our RV, plus more of the beans. Everything was very tender and tasty and even the leftovers were good.
Prices are reasonable and the food is really good. We'll be sure to eat here again next time we're in Yreka :-)
