Our room (#311) was very spacious, as if it was once a one-bedroom converted apartment. Great location. Complimentary apples. King-size bed in one room, separate bathroom with shower, a large sitting area with pullout couch and large round dining table with a breakfast bar (small refrigerator, sink, counter area). Decor was modern and swanky. Hotel is in a residential area with underground only parking. As it is a small hotel it seems like the staff wears many hats but this did not bother us.

Do not recommend pre-purchasing the continental breakfast as there are better options on their menu.

Gym is small but clean (two treadmills, one recliner bike, one elliptical and free weights).

Overall, I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again. It is in driving distance to Walk of Fame, Mann's Chinese Theatre, Beverly Hills' Rodeo Drive, the Grove and Farmer's Market, Griffith Park, Hollywood sign. Universal Studios is about a 20-min drive.

Someone was smoking pot nearby and you could smell it if you opened the windows. We smelled a lot of marijuana in Los Angeles throughout our stay. There is air condition A/C in each room but the bathroom did not have an air fan vent.

The Chamberlin is a quiet and sophisticated hotel with a very warm staff and deliverable management. We have a family of 4 and always request the one bedroom studio, which is beautiful, modern...and comes with a balcony and a fireplace. The Hotel also has a stunning rooftop pool with 360 views of the Hollywood, and a soothing aqua marine bar/dinning area just to the right of the lobby area. The food and drink is fitting. Although the workout room is small, you may request to obtain a pass to Equinox on Sunset (which is an amazing gym) for $35. We COMPLETELY recommend this hotel that is close to all the attractions but aways from the touristy bussle!

Room Tip: Speak with the staff and manager a few time before your arrival to secure all your needs.

A very eclectic hotel with very friendly staff. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. You don't expect a hotel to be located where it is. The restaurant is good and the pool dec is nice to relax at night. We would definitely come back again.

For the past 25+ years, and multiple times annually, I've traveled to Los Angeles on business. During that time, I've stayed in many hotels and in different parts of the city. The experience at the Chamberlain was one of the best.

The hotel is located in a quiet residential area between Santa Monica and Sunset Boulevards and is within easy walking distance of numerous and varied restaurants. The hotel offers a great rooftop pool with a spectacular view of the city, a small but pleasant restaurant/bar, and large/comfortable/well appointed rooms. The very best feature of the Chamberlain is the staff and management. Everyone, from the valet, to housekeeping, to the front desk personnel, to the General Manager are welcoming and attentive.

I look forward to my next visit to the Chamberlain.

Stayed at the start of our California road trip. Hotel was in a great Central location for all the tourist sites, but was in a quiet location. Staff were verry helpfully and full of great advice about the area they could not do enough for you. Rooms were large and we'll equipped one small gripe AC could be a bit noisey. We used the local busses to get around and all main routes were within a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. Will stay again.
