I normally stay at the Sunset Marquis in WeHo but decided to try Palihouse after a recommendation from a pal. Great location. In the scene but a step back from the action. Funky public area. Large spacious and well designed room with kitchenette.
There was a big private party with some recognisable names having fun when I arrived but it did not get overly loud or problematic.
My problem was that LA was having some much needed rainfall during my stay and my room was heavily leaking water from a clearly established crack in the roof on the 4th floor..it kept me awake most of the night falling onto the floor in my room..it soaked a bunch of my clothes before I realised it was happening..and was just slightly surreal. To be honest the more disappointing thing was the fact that when I reported it (2x) it was greeted as if I was reporting the fact that the TV remote batteries needed replacing or that some new toilet tissue would be needed soon.. when in fact it spoiled my stay and frankly is not what you expect to be paying for.
Nonethless..we all have bad days..in general the staff were otherwise very nice (including the guys I reported the leakage to) and I would probably stay here again if the weather forecast was better..
