This Perko's Shows wear and tear. The service was good as well as the dinner, especially the chicken dumpling soup was excellent . Good prices but I feel owners - manager should invest more money into decor upgrades. Table tops and seats are very worn

Stopping for the night at Wsco,CA a small town west of Bakersfield we dined at Peko's
Cafe. We were not only most pleased with the service, cleanliness of the dining room, but the food we ordered.

My husband chose liver and onions and myself meat loaf. Both were delicous and we felt we were eating home-cooked food from Grandma's kitchen!

We recommend dining there and we will return if passing through or staying overnight.

When ever I get a chance I love to stop here, I love the atmosphere and the food.
Service is good , it's a nice and quiet cafe it brings you back into time when you see pictures up of the city back in the old days.

I was raised in Wasco during the late 40's so visiting the area now means finding restaurants that never existed when I lived there. The interior is plain but clean and gives one a homy feeling of stepping back in time. There are tables and booths. The wait staff is friendly and will be glad to answer questions about this farming area. It is about 9 miles from Hwy 99 in an intersection called Famoso. Hwy 46 runs between the Central Valley of Calif. to Paso Robles near the Pacific Coast. Since there is a heavy Latino population most of the restaurants have a Mexican menu. Perko's takes the senior age menu a step further and provides more amenities for a decent price. They serve a varied breakfast and lunch. I did not see or look at a dinner menu. If you want a simple, clean and varied menu type of restaurant, this eating establishment is for you. It is very family oriented.

Great local diner - think Denny's, but better. Good food. Had a wrap and a burger, both were good. Definitely would eat here again.
