We knew we weren't going to feel like driving home to North Orange County after taking the kids to Brick or Treat at Legoland, so we booked a room at TownePlace to stay the night. We easily checked in early using the Marriott app, and the room was ready when we arrived. The room was comfy but we had a few issues that were remedied. The first was we couldn't get the AC to work. Turns out the previous guests had broken the plug and it wasn't connecting correctly. The guy at the front desk got it to work finally. Thank goodness because the room was getting pretty hot and stuffy. The second issue was the pull out sofa. When the bed is out, it's flush to the end of the king bed. This makes it impossible for the people sleeping on the window side to get out of bed. Their only option is to have to climb over the person they are sleeping next too. A little extra thought should've been used in the layout plan of the room. We ended up taking the mattress off, moved some furniture around, and put the mattress on the floor. The kids didn't mind the arrangement but this would not be ideal for adults. Towels were also out at the pool, but some were quickly brought out after asking for some at the front desk. We would stay here again but would probably go with a larger room to avoid the pull out bed issue.
