It is not your usual Chinese Seafood restaurant in the US - which is Cantonese, but this is Chew Chao Chinese ! We order the dinner set which has every Creatures from the Sea, like: Shrimps, Scallop, Sea Cucumber, Abalone, Lobster and Fish, and more like Big plate of Appetizers and a whole Chicken ( disappointment - because Chew Chau is known for their Herbal/Soy Sauce Duck ), dessert! Every Dishes are great !
Service is hit & miss ! Typically Chinese, just have to get their attention!

If you want to come here on weekend, you must prepare to wait 50-60 minutes to get a table.
Just order to go maybe much easier.

We came here for a special occasion and this place lived up to the hype, even better. There is no dedicated server, it's a team effort that provides constant walk-about service; and if there wasn't somebody walking by checking on us, a raise of the hand got an immediate result (I noticed a lot of service complaints on TA, so the raised hand custom gets it done). Get here early on the weekend. There was a long wait by 7pm. The crab, 2 lobsters, and jumbo shrimp (all fresh) were excellent. The complete meal with 7 dishes, tea, and rice, eating better and more than we should for 3 people, was about $150. No complaints.

Our relative treated us here with so many seafood dishes: crab, scallops, fish and vegetables. Therefore, I do not know the names of the dish or the price. Because I swim almost daily, I can afford to pig out. We were stuffed.

Following a glowing review by Jonathan Gold in the LA Times, we've tried Seafood Palace a few times. This is your by now relatively standard San Gabriel Valley Cantonese Chinese seafood restaurant. The house special crab, lightly fried with dried garlic is an exceptional dish. The other items we tried were very good, but not particularly different from other similar places.
