We love this restaurant because the food is authentic and the ambiance is romantic but still good for families and kids for a special occasion. This is our "go to" for birthdays and anniversaries. They offer gluten free pasta and the arrabiata sauce is perfectly spicy. The wild boar special is always delicious and unique.

Great dinner at a fine Italian Restaurant. Difficult finding the place as it is in a shopping center. They could update the signs. The food however was top notch. Well worth visiting while in Temecula

We were impressed with the food and atmosphere, but we were also disappointed by some aspects of the service and some pricing issues.

The place looks like a small diner from the outside, but that is not the case inside. The inside is relatively large and has a nice ambiance. The atmosphere is very friendly, comfortable, and with somewhat of a high end feel. The menu selection is substantial and the listed prices vary from moderate to high. My wife had the salmon special, which was covered in a tomato sauce with capers. It was absolutely delicious. It was the best salmon that we have ever experienced. I had the fettuccine bolognese. It was very good. They served bread with an amazing olive sauce. It was addictive. For desert, we had the lemon sorbet, which was sorbet stuffed in an actual lemon. It was amazing. The portion sizes were reasonable. We were very pleased with the food.

So far, I have described a 5-star review. Now for the issues that disappointed. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. She quickly brought the menu, but it took a while for her to return to take our order. It took an unusually long amount of time to receive the food. We were also hoping for a few follow-up visits to our table while we were eating, but those were few and far between. We ultimately had to flag down a different waitress to bring the check. That exposed a couple of frustrating issues. First, she brought us the wrong check. She corrected that without apology. Second, we were surprised by the cost of our side salads. When we placed our order, the waitress asked if we wanted a side salad. We said "yes" with the expectation of a side salad at a nominal cost like in most restaurants. That was not the case. Our two side salads added $20 to the bill. My salad was mostly green leaves with 4 tomato wedges -- nothing special and underwhelming. My wife's salad was a ceasar salad, but was plain to basic at best. Yet, those two "side salads" added $20 to the bill. There was no indication of that cost during the ordering process. We were not ordering from the insalada menu. We accepted the suggestion for a "side salad" expecting a cost related to a "side salad". That unexpected cost and the service tainted our experience.

We will return because of the positive things that occurred. The food is very good. However, we learned from our first visit. In the future, we will only order the main course and avoid any "side plates". That way the value will equal or exceed the final cost. I recommend the same strategy for other customers, unless cost is of no issue.

We enjoyed the opening of the wine bar, and then stayed for dinner. Everyone loved their food. Complaints? Yeah we had to wait a few minutes for dinner.... that's because everything is cooked fresh!!
Thanks Alex!!!
