During a long road trip loop through Northern California this was one of our favorite stays. Price was reasonable for quality with good amenities. I thought the decor was quite attractive and the view from our upstairs room of the lake was worth paying for. We enjoyed sitting on the small balcony with wine and looking across the lake. The breakfast was adequate/typical but better than average - coffee was good - and front desk was helpful with ice and advice. We ate at the steakhouse across the parking lot and had a nice meal. I agree with many earlier positive reviews that gave good details. I would definitely stay here again as needed.

Room Tip: We really liked the lake view room.

Spotless and comfy room - fire was a nice touch with a view to die for! Continental breakfast was nice - sets you up for the day. Staff are nice and friendly and we had a very quiet and restful night.

Great value. Nothing fancy but the room was clean and well kept with both a fridge and microwave. The location was perfect for our needs with 2 restaurants within a 30 second walk. We will definitely stay here again next time we're in town.

Stayed for 2 nights. Had a two bedroom queen with a partial ocean view through the trees. We overlooked the pool. The room was a good size. Had a micro, fridge, hair dryer. Toiletries were a nice quality. Room was clean. Right across from beach but we did not go over to the beach. The wifi works fine but we had no cell service. We were on the go constantly so we just made calls then. Breakfast was really nice. There was coffee with vanilla creamer, water, orange juice. There was a waffle maker. Cereal with milk and oatmeal and hot water. Fresh tangerines and a beautiful fruit salad with strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, pineapple. Really good. There is a nice pool and close to lots of good restaurants. Would stay again.

Visited the Firelite Lodge with my husband and 2 kids, 16 & 13 for a couple of days on a Californian road trip. It is a motel, nothing grand, but a real effort is made here to do everything as well as can be. The welcome was friendly and efficient. The room is a really good size with a wood burner, a good tv, a recently updated bathroom and a small kitchenette area with sink and fridge. The beds are super comfortable and big. All is really clean. There are patio doors out to the small pool area. The pool is heated but not very warm. There are pretty plants in pots everywhere and lovely fairy lights at night. The continental breakfast has fairly limited choices but all of a really good quality, with good breads, cakes and excellent fruit salad. The location is fantastic - opposite a beautiful little beach with fantastic views across the lake - we just had a lovely evening meal there of take-out Mexican sitting on the picnic benches watching the sunset; heaven! We've had a great stay and recommend the Firelite.
