This is an older property with rooms with outside doors, but the rooms themselves were spacious and clean, and the beds were quite comfortable. The property is right on the beach with lots of chaise lounges, umbrellas and outdoor equipment (kayaks, trampoline, etc) that are included in the resort fee you pay. (So not exactly free, but it looks like you get access to a lot for your money.) There is no pool, but there are two small hot tubs available for use. Parking is free and right outside your room.
Unfortunately, for us the weather was extremely windy which made sitting on the beach impossible and knocked the cable and internet out - throughout Tahoe Vista - for one of the days we were there. The staff was very friendly about the situation, and offered us movies to watch and popcorn to go with it. Not how we wanted to spend our time there, but poor weather is no one's fault.
This is a very relaxed place run by friendly staff. If you are looking for something fancy with a spa and what-not, this probably isn't the right choice, but if you want a casual and relaxed place with lots of outdoor amenities, this is a real gem.More
