Try this place! Located in a historic hotel on Main Street, you get to absorb some gold mining history, and eat some good chow. This is an actual hotel, and the restaurant is the dining room. On nice days, they open up the large window/walls, and you can eat while watching all of the tourist crowd in the street.
Sutter Creek is a very cool historic gold mining-era town to visit. Lots of shops, galleries, tasting rooms, etc.
Helpful Hints: parking can be a challenge, but you will find public lots or street parking only a minute or two’s walk away. It is worth it to park, slow down, and walk to Main Street. There is some fine old architecture in these old houses.
The menu is rather standard, but the burgers are big, and you won’t go wrong with their lunch menu.
I suggest coming before lunch, spend some time looking around, then eat at the Sutter, and spend some more time at one of the local tasting rooms.More
