This is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. I arrived at 4pm only to be told, my room wasn’t ready. I went to the bar area for a drink to kill time. There were refugees queuing up at the bar area collecting trays of food to take back to their quarters. Their washing was hanging on their balconies, and their children were running about in the car park amongst the guests cars.
The food was awful and the floors were filthy with food debris left from previous gusts. The public dining tables were awash from stale food, and the chairs were the same. I had to get a cloth to clean before I could sit down.
The staff were lazy, unprofessional and very argumentative. Gusts children were running riot between the tables and their parents had no consideration for diners and just let them carry on.
Dining room staff didn’t have a clue who ordered what, and I waited fifty minutes for my salad starter.
The hotel windows were absolutely filthy and could have done with a good clean. Upon entering my room, I could see the corridors were awash with dirty sheets and towels lying on the floor with the service trolleys laden with room service paraphernalia.
There was a coach party in and the hotel manager and the coach driver were having a public heated argument in front of customers outside the breakfast room the following morning. There was no breakfast organised for the coach party guests who had no time to wait for it to be arranged as their ferry had been booked. Nice sized rooms though, but not very welcoming.
This hotel needs to be closed down as it is a total sham!
Faulty Towers, eat your heart out….
