Disapointed

2.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 7 Jul 2024via mobile
We stayed here for my little girls birthday. From the outside it didn't look great but we aren't overly fussy .it's def one of the least nicest maldrons we have stayed tho .everything was basic enough food was nice drink very expensive what made me say of never stay here again was when I asked one of the waiter to heat up my 9 month old baby dinner I brought with me premade at home he wasn't happy and said in future they wouldnt be heating any foreign food that they would make a baby bowl no problem.i was shocked at this because it's advertised as a family hotel but no way is it I've never had an issue any where I go with any restaurant heating my babys food when the other three of us are buying three full dinners there which we were and beers too and its not cheap .very disappointing and for that poor service we won't be staying again and will stay in talbot next time .there loss!

Booked with booking.com which was hacked! Thankfully I didn't give out any personal details. Just had emergency surgery. Maldron has no wheelchair. Mentioned I'd been on for hours to booking.com before realising I was being scared. Spoke with reception. There only reaction was to show them my phone correspondence. By this time I had no energy to even go to their desk. They never enquired had I been sorted. So I'd give the Maldron a great big 0 and warning for anyone using booking.com

This is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. I arrived at 4pm only to be told, my room wasn’t ready. I went to the bar area for a drink to kill time. There were refugees queuing up at the bar area collecting trays of food to take back to their quarters. Their washing was hanging on their balconies, and their children were running about in the car park amongst the guests cars.
The food was awful and the floors were filthy with food debris left from previous gusts. The public dining tables were awash from stale food, and the chairs were the same. I had to get a cloth to clean before I could sit down.
The staff were lazy, unprofessional and very argumentative. Gusts children were running riot between the tables and their parents had no consideration for diners and just let them carry on.
Dining room staff didn’t have a clue who ordered what, and I waited fifty minutes for my salad starter.
The hotel windows were absolutely filthy and could have done with a good clean. Upon entering my room, I could see the corridors were awash with dirty sheets and towels lying on the floor with the service trolleys laden with room service paraphernalia.
There was a coach party in and the hotel manager and the coach driver were having a public heated argument in front of customers outside the breakfast room the following morning. There was no breakfast organised for the coach party guests who had no time to wait for it to be arranged as their ferry had been booked. Nice sized rooms though, but not very welcoming.
This hotel needs to be closed down as it is a total sham!
Faulty Towers, eat your heart out….

I stayed with my 2 teenage daughters for 2 nights to attend a nearby sporting event. The room was adequate but simple, the windows were very dirty and had gaps when closed so didn't block out the noise. Beds were lumpy and the bedding slid around. The toilet would only flush on the second or third attempt. Nothing worth the 468 euro I paid. We booked a group buffet dinner on the second night. Very expensive for a curry that was so hot, we couldn't eat it ( I did ask if it was hot and was told "just a little", it was inedible!) 54 euro for 3 adult portions. We had breakfast on the second morning which was adequate for the 36 euro I paid. The staff were lovely but boasted about having a Gluten Free section which was just GF bread for toasting and some fruit! This hotel is very poor value for money. It needs to updated and the building site at the entrance needs to be acknowledged when booking. Very disappointed.

Currently staying at the maldron. The hotel and room is spotless. It is a lovely hotel and the pool is immaculate. The only thing to fault the hotel is the service at the bar. The food is fantastic but the service and manner of bar staff is poor. 10 minutes waiting to be served at the bar because there's no staff behind it and then three staff members arrive together. The coors on tap was luke warm. Desert plates still on table 30 minutes after eating
