This place has everything you would expect and need from a hotel at $80-90/night - the only problem is that they charge $140/night! The rooms and beds are fine, but then they are in regular Quality Inns as well at half the price.
We arrived after a long day on the road and went straight to the restaurant for dinner - at 8:30 PM but the waitress assured us that last orders were at 9:00PM so no problem. We ordered by 8:40 and busied ourselves with the salad bar & a couple of glasses of wine till about 8:55 when our meals arrived. So far so good but by 9:05 the staff had all the other chairs on the tables and kept asking us "If everything was OK" - maybe 6 times! Clearly they wanted us out so they could quit ASAP. We were made to feel very uncomfortable, by about 9:20 their "Bum's rush" tactics had us beat and we quit.
The best bit about the place was the "free" (i.e. included in the $140) breakfast which was pretty good.

We are sorry that the room you booked was higher that you wanted to pay. Our rates, like other hotels, vary based on seasons. Starting October through April 2018 are lower rates than now. In regard to the late seating, we are happy that you were able to be served, but we are sorry that you felt rushed near the end of the meal. We will share your comments with the restaurant owner. We hope you enjoyed the complimentary full hot served breakfast and the Managers Reception during your stay. We hope to see you again, and further hope that you have the positive experience of our other guests.

Stayed here twice for Business with nearby hospital. On the 1st trip I was given a room at the back of the hotel, which meant exiting the hotel and entering my room from the back parking lot. I was uncomfortable with the setting, and my other team members offered to swap rooms, (one was on the inside-hallway) the other was even further back) I thought the rooms were dingy and dark looking so opted to stay put for the 2 nights we were there. I slept surprisingly well though. This next time around, I wanted to stay at the Black oaks casino hotel but being a Christian and totally not believing in gambling, I prayed about it and went back to BW. This time I requested a "hallway" room and was pleased with everything except the internet was slow at times and the pillows too hard for my taste. Otherwise good stay. I would stay again.

We are so happy that your enjoyed your stay. The back section you referred to, is the Executive Wing and actually preferred by many corporate guests due to the quiet setting in the ancient oaks. Based on your concerns I would suggest that you ask for the "Pool and Patio" building with rooms near the office and pool. The internet is going through a massive updating, as I write. I am on the new access points right now, so we have great news for WIFI users. This makes us the best in the region!

We had a great stay in Sonora. The room had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the nearby restaurant across the parking area was really good. Staff were all really friendly. Pool was lovely and appreciated on a hot afternoon. We explored Sonora town and drove to Calavares State Park from here which was around 30 miles away through some spectacular scenery. Thanks for a great stay.

Thank you for enjoying our special area and our hotel! We are happy that you enjoyed the complimentary hot served breakfast. That little drive to Calaveras State Park is wonderful and the park is a gem, too.

this is a very nice hotel close to pinecrest,, black oak casino and downtown Sonora. There is a restaurant on the premises where you get a free breakfast that was outstanding. The scenery from our room was beautiful trees, Very peaceful. Would stay here again for sure

We were there for a couple days of R&R. Location and price were great. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. We spent a little time at the pool which was enjoyable. Most of our time was spent exploring Sonora and the surrounding areas. I would recommend going to the Indigeny property and tasting room. Great place!!!

It sounds like you found a "hidden gem" with the Indigeny Apple Cider Ranch. Beautiful place and tasty cider. We are happy you enjoyed our upgraded complimentary breakfast and pool setting. We hope to see you again.
