My husband and I enjoyed our dinner tonight, it was the Local's market menu. Everything was very tasty, no complaints about the food whatsoever and compliments to the Chef.
The price of the menu was very reasonable and so was the price for the pairing wines, although the quantity of wine was rather limited. My husband had a second glass of the pairing wine to go with the cheese. Little did we know that we were going to be charged 12 $ !!! for a glass of wine, when the total for 4 pairing wines is 20 $. This give us indeed a quite bitter aftertaste.
But again we would like to emphasize that the food was excellent.

We went with our friends who had been here before. It's a small restaurant, but it's big on service. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings. The food was wonderful. Be advised: the menu offers small bites from each category (starters, meat, fish, vegetable, etc.). It's not one plate of food. Just note, the whole restaurant would fit into your family room; there are only a HANDFUL of tables and it is a very intimate environment. We are a loud bunch and may have negatively impacted the guests around us because of the close proximity. (Sorry people.) Just know that it is not a place to take a large or rowdy group. I believe they have a separate room for large parties, but not certain. I do know that you will have to make reservations EARLY regardless. Again the food was great, the staff was stellar. Would definitely return - if they would have us.

This little inn nicely fit the bill for a couple of nights in the Santa Ynez Valley. Very comfortable rooms in the heart of Solvang the inn is convenient to shopping and wine tasting in the town. And Solvang is a good central location for visiting the other towns and variety of wineries in the region. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit.

We just finished a delicious meal at First & Oak, at Mirabelle in Solvang. A very creative menu invites you to explore the chef's skilled dishes. The Heirloom Tomato Tea appetizer, which was a hot, Heirloom tomato consommé over fresh, spring vegetables, was wonderful, and both the halibut and short ribs were spot on. Don't hesitate to enjoy this gem in Solvang.
