We got a take away. The guy who served us was super friendly and helpful. They were quite busy but we still didn’t have to wait too long. I had Chana Masala which was delicious and quite spicy but not too spicy. Also dall which was good - not greasy at all and a great consistency. I also had sag paneer which was so good - creamy, aromatic and with perfectly sized little cubes of paneer. My husband was happy with his order too.

The food was ok and at times very dry...the chicken was extremely dry and the turn over rate of the food had been sitting too long, cause it to become mushy or over cooked and dry. The flavors were also kind of bland and lack of flavor and spices. However, it was one of the cleanest and organized places i have had indian food at...and yes i said food...not cuisine...because its far from being that good of a level restaurant. Great service...poor representation of international style food.

Reasonable cost Indian food in downtown Santa Cruz. Sit down or take-away, all decent food at a good price.

If you want Indian food this is just OK. The buffet has lots to choose from, but on the bland side. In the service staff doesn’t seem to care if you need anything or not. There’s an Indian food restaurant up the street, it’s best to just go up there and not bother With this place in less you’re in a pinch.

Their buffet looked tired, so we ordered daal and chicken vindaloo entrees. Neither had the heat we expected...the daal was simply pepperless; the chicken vindaloo had a tiny bit of spice, but nowhere near the true heat of a vindaloo. The crowd was much heavier than I expect they normally experience due to being one of the very few places open for Xmas night, but it was a festive group.
