Warm friendly reception upon arrival and just as warm on departure. Accommodation is arranged in a u shape around a central courtyard / parking area all nicely done with various areas of seating and flowers which make it look really cared for. Only a few minutes walk from the beach frontage in a great location short walk to State St, Harbor and Wharf.
Rooms are all individual layouts and furnished and no two appear to be the same. All nicely done providing everything you can want for a comfortable stay.
After we had checked into our room we found there was no remote control for the TV.
We immediately reported this to front desk and they were straight onto it. There was a room search by everyone, the maintenance guy tried re programming other remotes. Eventually all was sorted but not a second was wasted in resolving the situation.
Suggest it was probably the last occupants who inadvertently packed it on departure.
As we were staying for 2 nights we received a complimentary basket of breakfast items which was very good and included fruit and various drinks.
It was very much like having our own apartment which had a very efficient AC and a well equipped kitchen in which one could certainly be self catering.
A really relaxing stay in beautiful well cared for accommodation.
Would not hesitate to recommend or stay again.

My husband and I spent 4 nights at Harbor House Inn in room 2A. This room had everything that one could possibly want or need in a hotel room. This was a large room with a very comfy king size bed made up with soft and smooth sheets. I love to travel but living out of a suitcase is not my favorite. I was pleased to find a large closet with a generous supply of hangars and a large dresser with drawers and was able to unpack the clothes that I needed while in Santa Barbara. The room was also furnished with a large round dining table and chairs and a recliner. It had a small kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator. The welcoming basket was chock full of snacks, fresh baked banana bread, fresh fruit, bottled water and other drinks. Delicious coffee is provided for the coffee maker. The closet contained a large safe. The spa bath was luxurious with a large spa tub, large walk in shower and a water closet. We were in town to attend a wedding and a birthday party and the large bathroom made it easy for 2 people to get ready for these events. The room was quiet with no noise from the adjoining room and little outside noise. The staff was warm and welcoming and provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and fulfilled any requests. The location could not have been better. It is only a block or so from the beach and harbor area and it's a short walk to State street and several restaurants. The trolley tour stops right outside of the hotel. It provides easy access to 101.

The only negatives were a tight parking lot that can be difficult to maneuver. While this hotel is very expensive, it's in line with other Santa Barbara hotels in this location.

Room Tip: Room 2A has a wonderful spa bath and is very quiet.

We stayed at the Harbor House Inn for 2 nights, July 7-9 2018. When we first arrived, we weren't sure where to park. The parking spaces in the hotel courtyard were very tight. We ended up parking on the street to check in, and Clint was very helpful telling us that although it was better to park in the hotel lot, we could stay where we were and that they had a (limited) number of parking passes for the street. We ended up pulling into one of the tight spaces in their lot and didn't need to move our car during the rest of our stay anyway.
Clint was very helpful on the move-in and we overheard him giving some helpful restaurant tips to another guest. He got us checked in promptly and we were off to our room.
The room was one of the Queen rooms. It was very cute and very clean - this is something that I'm very sensitive to and was pleased about how clean it was. There is one TV, a small bathroom with tub, and a small kitchenette. We received a welcome basket upon check-in in our room - a nice touch with fruit, water, protein drink, apple juice, fig bar, granola bars, and their amazing fresh baked banana nut bread. It was a lot of treats!
The only complaints we had about the room were that the TV volume seemed to cut in and out which was very annoying, and the mattress was very creaky. Other than that, it was wonderful. The location is amazing, the outside noise was minimal, and when we came back from a wine tour the dishes that we had washed were put away and the kitchen was thoroughly cleaned from the morning breakfast & coffee.
When we were checking out the incredible smell of the banana nut bread baking left an indelible imprint endearing us to this place. We will be back!

LOVED our one night stay in this hotel. Wish we had been able to stay longer but this place was the perfect ending to our California road trip. Service here is impeccable and the bed was beyond comfortable. Would recommend this place in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a cute boutique hotel with excellent service and a great location just one block from the beach!

We had such a great trip to harbor house inn. I traveled with my husband and one year old. The staff went above and beyond in welcoming us. You can walk downtown, to the pier, along the beach and along the breakwater. It’s a really great location. Thank you for making our vacation so memorable.
