Everything about the Wine Cask was top notch - the service, ambiance, wine list, but especially the food. We had the black olive oil poached sea bass and crispy skin salmon and both were sublime and reasonably priced at $28. Even the sides and the beignets for dessert were perfect. I hadn't been there for years because under the old owners it was expensive, stuffy and too special occasion. I'll definitely be back. (If you want something more casual, the bar is charming and has some great beers on tap.)

We were given a gift certificate to this restaurant, and walked away thrilled! It had a nice atmosphere and wonderful food. We ate inside, but weather permitting this restaurant has a nice patio with heaters, too. The waitress recommended a White Fish (which was a locally caught Corvina sea bass), in a seafood broth with beans, tomatoes and kale. Sounded healthy, but the surprise is that it was absolutely delicious. We highly recommend the Wine Cask!

Love everything about this place. Decor, food, wine and desserts. One of the best places in Santa Barbara for an upscale dinner but also good if you just want to come in for an appetizer or dessert and a glass of wine after a show.

My husband and I enjoyed an outstanding dining experience at the Wine Cask. We asked to sit on the patio because the restaurant seemed overly warm to us. Even though we were the only diners on the patio, our service was very attentive. Our server was very knowledgable and the busser could not have been more helpful. We both choose the rack of lamb and were delighted by our choice. It was the perfect dining experience!

We went for lunch and dinner. Lunch was in a smaller room across from the dining area. Food was out of this world. We had spring rolls, steak bites and beignet for dessert.
