A well organized tour. Our guide (Chuck) was great and very knowledgeable. We got to see a variety of caves and he also had good advice for a quick hike. The day was cold and misty but the views were amazing. It seems like each trip would be different depending on water levels and weather so I wouldn't hesitate about booking another adventure.

We booked an epic adventure for a family of 4. JD was our guide- he was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and willing to take us wherever the kids wanted. We hiked, kayaked and snorkeled. The weather was not perfect- but the we had a perfect visit.

Our adventure included packed lunches and water bottles- we just had to show up. We recommend layers for the ferry ride, and a towel.

I've gone kayaking with Channel Islands Outfitters several times and every time is different than the last time. They take care of everything for your adventure and give instruction (and encouragement when needed). Even with not-so-good weather and water conditions (wind and strong current.. it is winter, after all!), the three of us had a great time. Our guide Chuck encouraged us (and helped me) during these difficult conditions. One of my friends was happy because she did more than she thought she would, because of Chuck's instruction and thorough information provided. The caves are amazing: we saw seals, sea lions, interesting birds and cool rock formations. The Green Room is probably my favorite. And lunch was yummy too.

We had a wonderful time. Our guide Marina was very friendly, supportive and informative. We couldn't go into all the caves because of big swells, sleeping seals, and my nervousness about the waves in one of the caves, but the ones we did were fun and kayaking along the edge of the islands was just amazing. And the snacks were tasty. Highly recommend ordering breakfast as well - great burrito and ham and cheese roll to get you started on the adventure.

We had a fantastic day on the Channel Islands with CIO. We went on the Sea Kayaking trip which was well organised, fun and memorable. Our guide, JD, made sure we got the most out of our day in what were challenging conditions for inexperienced oldies like us. After kayaking we had time to walk on the island which was quiet and fascinating.

The ferry departs from Ventura and is modern and fast which made for a comfortable and enjoyable part of the day.
