The rooms here are spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. The bathrobes are the softest and most comfortable I've ever had the pleasure to wear. Everything about this place is comfortable and cosy.

Breakfast is included and is served. Y the friendly, professional staff. A real gem and one I will return to one day

My daughter and I stayed here while touring Cal Poly. It was perfect for us - spacious rooms and 2 sinks in bathrooms. It was clean and well maintained with good internet, fun movie selections and comfy beds. The breakfast was fine, nothing great, but the staff was especially kind and accommodating. It's literally 2 minutes from campus. It was very quiet and we got much needed sleep.

I would highly recommend this hotel. It had such character and felt more like a B&B than a motel/lodge. You could tell someone had taken the time to attend to each of buildings. The rooms were clean and comfortable with interesting decor that looked current and tasteful. Seems like it was renovated recently so reflects current decorating trends. We stayed in the front building that kind of looked like an English Tudor. It was an ADA compliant room with a floor shower that was very spacious and had a built in seat as well as removable shower hose to use. Handicapped parking space literally right in front of the room door.

We were just a few steps from the lobby/dining room which was nice in the morning so the kids could go back and forth and I didn't worry. The room came with a mini fridge (empty, no water, juice, mini bar). They were very accommodating with our little dog as well.

Centrally located to downtown, Madonna Inn and freeway. Most comfortable robes I have ever used as well!! They keep water, cookies, popcorn and movies in the front office all the time. Also great for the kids.

I can't say enough about this hotel...I travel quite a bit for work and 99% of the time I stay in one of the hotels in a specific chain so that I earn points for my stays. I come to San Luis Obispo at least twice a year and can honestly say that this is the only place I go where I make an exception to my rule. I absolutely love this hotel! The rooms are so quaint and have so much charm. I have stayed in all 3 buildings (Londonderry, Plantation and Craftsman) and they are all great. Clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated rooms with fireplaces. Exactly as they look in the pictures and completely different from hotel chains. The staff is wonderful too - always so friendly and accommodating. They have made some very nice updates to the registration desk and breakfast areas which are modern, but not too modern looking. They fit in perfectly with the feel of the hotel. The free hot breakfast is always great too. They do a good job of keeping up with and bringing out fresh food regularly. Eggs, sausage, muffins, fruit, etc... All this for a very reasonable rate. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a beautiful, chain-alternative, place to stay in SLO. It is top notch. Above all, the staff is wonderful! I won't stay anywhere else in town now. Well done!

Room tip: All 3 buildings are wonderful! You can't go wrong.

Pros -- Room was clean, bed was extremely comfortable, receptionists at guest were very friendly and helpful, conveniently located for a trip to visit Cal Poly

Cons -- Felt more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel (if that's what you are looking for, it would be a great option), parking lot very tight fit.

Suited our purpose -- one night layover on the way up CA coast but I would not recommend it for a longer stay because, personally, I would prefer more of the comforts provided by a full service hotel, which this is not. Again, very nice but not spectacular.

Thank you so much for your review. We are a small boutique property that aims to provide a very personal and friendly service for our guests. I understand that some of our visitors may prefer a large hotel. I am glad you appreciated our service.

Thanks again,

June
