This was our second visit and it was much less crowded on a Sunday evening.

To get here you need to look for the Mitsuwa Marketplace since it is the food court inside that houses Santouka. Since there are a few other stores in the same shopping area the place is busy and parking can be a bear.

Santouka is the first Japanese restaurant when you get into the market and is on your left. Grab a table before you arrive, if possible, since it gets busy.

They have a good display of the different menu items and pricing. Each item and size have their own number. It is a buck difference between regular and large. I ordered the 34: large spicy miso ramen while the rest of the family ordered 24: regular spicy miso ramen. The size is perfectly portioned for each of us and no leftovers!

The spicy miso is not too spicy with a good amount of pork, bamboo shoots, black fungus and lots of ramen. The miso broth is nice and rich and perfect seasoned. Last time we found the shio broth to be a little too salty.

For dessert you can pick from the Japanese specialty stores or get some Matcha flavored soft serve within the marketplace.

Overall a great meal just remember to bring cash. No credit or debit cards accepted.

I've been meaning to try this place for years now, but hate having to drive all the way to the South Bay for ramen. Now that my BFF moved down there, I find myself down here more often.

Santouka definitely lived up the hype! I ordered the spicy miso, and loved the broth!

It's a bit hard to find, as there's no sign. But it's inside the Mitsuwa market, and right next to the entrance.

TIP: Cash only!

Will be coming here next time I'm in the South Bay!

Not sure if it is worth the wait. But when I am traveling, I tend to take the long lines. It is long for a reason, right?

We were looking for Japanese good quality food for lunch and we came to this wonderful place, like time travel lung in Asia! The Ramen restaurant is inside the food market! There was a 20-30 mins wait, you choose your soup, there are many combinations. It was very agreeable wait, you have several choices for a great budget! The food is delicious and authentic! You buy and sit to eat. Next to it there is amazing Japanese ice cream, not to miss, get the waffle 3-taste boat for 4,50! Then visit the Japanese book store! Amazing experience, food and time!

If you are hungry for ramen, Santouka Ramen is great!

Santouka Ramen is usually inside of every Mitsuwa Marketplace.

Good authentic ramen, quick and cheap! And you can go to grocery shopping at Mitsuwa after eating Ramen!
