Whenever we are in San Clemente we stop at the Fisherman’s Restaurant on the pier. The food and view never disappoint.

Very big affair with no real time to enjoy the view or the atmosphere.
In, fed and out in less than an hour.
The meals were good but lacking in terms of imagination and final touch.
We had the impression that we were being fed rather than enjoying an evening meal.
Regarding Fisherman’s Restaurant, review
Sept 6, 2018 - Eight for dinner; we have been going to Fisherman's for about 35 years; we take guests here all the time sometimes monthly for several months in a row; we have never been disappointed except for this date: salmon not fully cooked, dessert plates dirty; food portions smaller than in the past; clam chowder had to be ordered in a bowel and not a cup and had to pay extra for their well-deserved reputation of a good clam chowder. Oh, and prices continue to increase. With increased prices, reduced quantity, under cooked salmon and no clam chowder cups for the dinner menu, we have decided to reduce our visits. I want to see portions come back to their original sizes; I want to see clean plates; I want food cooked properly; I want clam chowder in a cup included in the dinner menu as it had been for decades!
I have been to Fisherman's Restaurant several times, perfect place for happy hour or anytime, the views are amazing especially San Clemente Sunsets are spectacular, if you like Oysters try the Oysters Florentine, they are amazing
Always sit outside with an ocean view - spectacular sunsets or fun watching the surfers during the day.
Staff are amazingly friendly and helpful.
Salads and seafood are good - smoked salmon is excellent. HH is great value - starts at 3:30 I think and runs until 7pm.
Bar is open late (good to know as SC generally closes early) and Adam pours a wonderful Irish Mule!
