Last Week my wife and I traveled to the area to pick up our newly adopted son at a local hospital. We choose this hotel due to ease of access to local restaurants as well as the highway.
We arrived early on Saturday am, and were meet by Jasmine. We told her that we had a room reserved and would like to check in. Very professionals and compassionately she indicated she had no rooms and check in was at three. No problem. We asked for place to freshen up since we had been up all day. She directed us to a bathroom. Once we headed to our car to retrieve items. She came running out to let us know that in fact our room was ready. She offered to carry bags, and do whatever she could to make us feel comfortable. Upon return with our baby. She showed true emotion actually caring about us.
Ruby, the AGM was just as amazing, she went out of her way to make us feel welcomed and that we were family. The were two other front desk staff that I did not catch names, as well as housekeeping staff that were so accommodating to us and our new baby boy. The GM Jamie has assembled an amazing staff.

Room Tip: Everything seems fine

Spent a night at the Residence Inn while on a road trip last week. Was surprised how nice it was. Appeared to be freshly remodeled and very clean. Unit had mini kitchen with larger fridge, microwave, etc. Had a nice hot meal downstairs the next morning with eggs, bacon, yogurt and fresh fruit. There are restaurants within walking distance but we chose to go about a mile down the 10 to the Old Spaghetti Factory. Definitely would stay here again.

Room Tip: Overall pretty quiet but our room faced the back parking lot with a view of the mountains.

Great room, friendly staff, superb breakfasts.Room had full kitchen, including a dishwasher and all kitchen equipment to cook and eat with. Stayed three nights. Rooms just need better soundproofing; could hear normal speaking voices in next room. When housekeeper asked if I needed room service I said No but I would like two more bath towels. She said she didn't have any, as I stared at her full cart. Weird.

Room Tip: Maybe ask for top floor to not hear walkers above

This was a last minute booking for us. We planned to visit Palm Springs for Presidents Weekend. And even though Southern CA had one of the strongest storms at the start of that weekend, the hotels in Palm Springs were either booked to capacity or were extremely pricey. So we decided to stay about 45 minutes away at this Residence Inn. The room was equipped with refrigerator, stove, and all plate and utensils. And even though we didn't end up needing to use any of it, it was nice to have in the room. There is a counter area for eating along with a nice sized sofa. Our bed was very comfortable and even though we had to drive a bit more to get to Palm Springs, I thought it was worth it.

We checked in late on Friday April 7, 2017 around 9:30 PM. First thing I noticed was the water level in the cooler in the lobby was low, and it appeared the water had been there all day and no one bothered to change or refresh it. A black woman was at the front desk and I wouldn't say she was friendly but we checked in and went to our room on the 4th floor. After being up for over 12 hours, we just wanted to call it the night. The sofa bed doesn't have any bedding, so we called the front desk and had to retrieve all beddings ourselves. The first alarm went off around 10:30 PM. The same front desk person told us that someone on the 4th floor burned her food and that triggered the fire alarm but all was well. It was simply a false alarm. The security guard also assured us by telling us that someone burned her food. We didn't smell anything burned and we were on the 4th floor. The second alarm went off around 1:30(?) AM Saturday morning on 4/8 and the third alarm around 2 AM. That was the time we decided to check out and leave the hotel. My husband started calling Marriott and explained to them that we didn't want to be charged for this night and we wished to be moved to Fairfield Inn right across the street. No one on the phone from Marriott that night had authority to cancel charges. On early Saturday morning, there was a young man at the front desk now who didn't have authority to cancel charges either. He said that they didn't know how to reset the new fire alarm system thus the random fire alarm going off. So why the 'someone burned her food' lie earlier? We were out of Residence Inn Saturday morning around 3 AM after three false fire alarms and being fed with a lie. On the way out of the front door, the same hotel security guard was sitting on the bench watching something on his phone. There were also three cigarette butts near the front entrance that no one seemed to care to have cleaned up.
