I stay at Marriott properties all across the world, and I can say that this one is not up to Marriott global standards. The walls seem to have no insulation, so many voices and noises were heard all night, and the room seemed quite dated. Our tub was stained in the bottom. I will look elsewhere when in the area.

My family and I booked 3 two bedroom suite rooms for a last minute stay. We traveled to Salinas to attend a family member's funeral services. Since there were so many of us coming into town, the hotel was a great option as we wanted to either be together or stay close by to one another. Other family members booked rooms at the Courtyard by Marriott next door. We liked that these Marriott properties are next to each other as both properties seven their purpose for our visit. The suites were comfortable, clean and had basic amenities. The hotel is a bit dated, but we didn't mind. There are stores, restaurants and a mall nearby. Also, we liked that the funeral service was just two exits south from the hotel. Overall, a great average hotel and I'm thankful we found it despite our sad circumstances.

The hotel is about 14 miles from Monterey. We visited the infamous aquarium and Camel by the sea on a Friday and decided to stay here before heading back to SF for the weekend. We reserved the two room suite which is nice. I have stayed at residence inn in Southern California (Torrence), Raleigh, NC. Boston....this one is in keeping with RI standards in cleanness , friendly staff. We didn't get to use the sofa bed because there is no extra bedsheets in the room. For amenity, they have indoor swimming pool, gym, patio etc.
For dinner, there are Applebees, and Outback Steakhouse nearby.

There weren't lots of choices around but we used our Marriott points here and it suited our need fine driving from San Simeon up to Menlo Park. We didn't really take advantage of the amenities but they seemed nice.

Got a 1 bedroom suite. The room was rather small for my liking and would have preferred the bathroom to be accessible via the common area and not the bedroom. But it was nice to have a kitchen area for the kids milk, snacks and for washing of baby bottles.

Sitting area has kinda small TV, we used the sofa bed and put a pack n play next to it.

They have a full blown breakfast available, which makes the cost of the hotel room a good deal.

I have booked here again, this time a 2 bedroom suite. Ill update my review if necessary. I expect to have a good visit this time as well.

Definitely worth the price for the amenities.
