Description: Cindy Pawlcyn’s Wood Grill & Wine Bar brings to south St. Helena the classic American fare that has made her Mustards Grill and Cindy’s Backstreet Kitchen Napa Valley legends. Nicknamed CP’s, the menu showcases Pawlcyn’s inimitable talent for fresh, tantalizing American Wine Country comfort food with made-from-scratch dishes such as Sweet Crispy Pork Belly, Dad’s House-made Potato Chips with bleu cheese dip, Brown Derby Cobb salad, Napa Cab Braised Short Ribs, Niman Ranch Burger with Cindy’s Secret Sauce, and West Coast Crab Roll. An award-winning wine program features the largest by-the-glass wine list in the Napa Valley as well as the signature ‘Vintner Splash’ on Saturday nights where local boutique vintners share complimentary tastes of their wines. The light-filled contemporary setting, family-friendly kids’ menu and large tree-shaded patio for outdoor dining (with live music Thursday nights) make the restaurant an instant Napa Valley classic.

I'm a vegan and they had pizza to accomodate my taste. It was VERY GOOD! They have the best gluten free crust I've ever had! We went for dinner the next night and they have reps from wineries handing out samples, the environment was exciting yet relaxing, it was a great experience!

The food, ambiance, offer of locally produced wines to taste during the meal, and excellent service makes this restaurant exceptional. The final gem was having the owner, Cindy P. come to our table to see how everything was for us during the meal.

Brassica is a new addition to the St Helena restaurant scene. The menu can be loosely described as small plates, medium plates, and full sized plates. Some of the dishes were quite good; fried stuffed olives, bacon wrapped dates, french fried eggplant.
There was a nice artichoke salad, a pear Gorgonzola bruschetta which my wife really liked, and a very good Tunisian halibut dish with preserved lemon and capers. For dessert, try the 5 pieces or the honey ginger ice cream.
The bill for 5 of us was $162 with tax, including a martini and a beer.

Cindy can do better than what our experience was. Not a great menu selection, so I hope she changes up the menu a bit from time to time. I would give it another try, as she is one of Napa's best chefs.
