Description: La Provence offers 4-Star cuisine with an emphasis on quality fresh seasonal and locally grown ingredients combining the flavors of France and the Mediterranean Regions. Truly unique settings which suggest a European country estate with numerous rooms and creekside terrace seating. Surrounded by 51 acres of parks and open space, the perfect location for special events or wedding celebrations. Specialize in accommodating groups and events, from an all day meeting to corporate dinners and presentations. A destination spot, but favored by our locals as the perfect neighborhood get-away.

We enjoyed the food at La Provence very much: a delicious Calamari platter, beef short ribs, and very tasty scallops. The hostess was exceptional, helping us to choose a very quiet table. The ambience is charming--although more northern France than Provence. Our server was rather pro forma, but did get extra lemon sauce for the appetizer when asked and was helpful with wine selection. Our main quibble was the very loud (in our opinion) pop music better suited to a sports bar or café. Why not some light jazz, if there must be music--or better yet, Edith Piaf? We liked the restaurant enough to return.

Beverages come quickly but being served your meal....yikes! A delicious burger was served 1 hour and 15 minutes after giving our order. Fortunately we had fun conversation to keep us distracted from our hunger. We have enjoyed some delicious meals once they are delivered.

I am not sure what other people are talking about, but this restaurant is not in a mall. (Maybe the Sacramento location?). It is next to a park and residential area, off the main roadway in an area you will need to look it up to find.

Why make a big deal about it's local? Part of it's charm is the 3/4 wrap around outdoor seating with nature views of the park area.

As for the restaurant inside, the staff was friendly, the food was excellent and reasonably priced. I had the Petite Chateau: steak with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. All good. The wine and dessert selections are great. My wife ended her meal with an excellent cup of coffee. We have been intending to eat here for a while... we will be back.

Larry, thank you for your kind words and we are thrilled you enjoyed your experience. We don’t understand the Mall comments either, and this is our only location.
We are grateful for your feedback and we look forward to seeing you again!

This review is only on the newly opened Lounge. See my other reviews on the restaurant. I tried the new Lounge with the draw of Tapas, music and a nice setting for meeting with friends to catch up and enjoy food and wine together. The Tapas menu is limited, portions are small ( not for sharing) and preparation is off. The street tacos weren't too bad, chicken lettuce wrap was good; and the seared ahi tuna was a big disappoint. Very small selection of wines by the glass and are way over priced. Also one can do HH in the restaurant's bar - get better bar food and a deal on the wine. The music venue on Fri was poor ( Sax and Guitar) way to loud for the cozy setting - we could hardly hear our friends talk. They played a mix of stuff but should have just stayed to soft, cool jazz ( instrumentals)- at least thats what we were looking for. Overall a really big fat disappointment over all with a place that could be as it has so much potential to draw in more if they make the following changes:
1) Expand and improve the Tapas menu- try Spanish tapas, or add the bar food menu to the options; Improve the options; make them larger for sharing. offer some items from the restaurant's menu.
2) Expand and improve the wine by the glass selection: add more Chards; Pinots; Cabs and Zins; be mindful of the prices
3) Choose better softer music venues; instrumentals; guitar; soft vocals
4) Pick a night venue for different age segments: e.g. soft jazz on Wed; rock on Sat.

Roseville needs a food wine, tapas bar with nice music. This is the perfect setting for one but the La Provence Lounge does not come close to what could be possible and a very nice draw. I would rather eat in the Restaurant for the $$$ or even the bar on HH then to go back to the Lounge. ( HH is happy hour)

We eat out 300 meals/year. We elected to revisit La Provence after a 5 year absence. We ordered a French onion soup that was quite cheesy and deep in flavor. Our caesar came out at room temp and I elected not to eat it. The fresh bread was dense and delicious. We each ordered the salmon. It came out crispy right out of the pan. Excellent cauliflower side dish. Our profiteroles were too doughy and not enough ice cream.

Adrienne opened our 2012 Chateaneuf-du-Pape (celebrating our 28th), we shared a glass w/her, and were charged a $20 corkage.
I would have preferred proper stemware and not have to pour my own wine throughout the evening...

We live in Granite Bay and should be the target demo for this restaurant. We left the premises wanting. La Provence, with its physical beauty, could be so much more. We wish it well and hope to come back prior to 5 years...
