Our Tuesday night dining experience was mixed. The dining room is nicely appointed. The tables are generously spaced, so that it seems likely that it would not feel crowded even on weekends. The service was excellent. We enjoyed the crisp and fresh salad course without colliding with our entrees. Those plates came, properly warmed after a reasonable few minutes. The beef pot roast was passable, but not special. The Harris Ranch filet which we ordered cooked rare, as first delivered was actually medium well, at best. When we showed it to the waiter, she immediately took it back for replacement. When that came, it was an acceptable medium rare, but not very flavorful. We were offered a gratis dessert, by way of apology, which was a nice gesture. Our meals and the entire menu were extremely reasonably priced. Every Tuesday, there is no corkage charge, which encouraged us to bring our own good wine. They're in our neighborhood, and we will return in the hope that next time things will go a bit better.

The Timbers has been remodeled. So if you haven't been there recently -- it's different. A good different -- visually. The bar area has been increased and moved to take advantage of the view. Access however is though the dining area.

It was Friday night when we visited and fairly busy. There is limited sound deadening to reduce/improve acoustics. So the bar crowd, the dining patrons and the live music are competing for your ears. It's loud.

As far as the food, no real complaints. The limited menu keeps the options simple. The kitchen has a liking for garlic so be prepared.

As far as service, the night we went service was slow. Although salads and entrees came out together, the gap was nearly an hour to receive our entrees.

For those that live nearby Timbers is a good option. If however you're willing to drive a bit farther.....

Great food in the new surroundings. Very reasonable prices. For in bar just as good. Come and enjoy sun city roseville 's finest.

Will never go back unless for Sunday brunch with REAL servers. Both man and woman on duty tending bar in the "atrium" were TERRIBLE. such a disappointment.

The Prime Rib Night at the Lodge is one of the best priced and tasting in Roseville, CA. If you are in the neighborhood, you should give it a try.
