Sorry to find in ten years they seemingly have not progressed.
With a hospitality attitude of you are their to give them money,
I am surprised their is any money to pay the lousy help.
Lousy games, odds, decor, and cordiality.
Stay Away. Just drink more wine elsewhere close.

HORRIBLE.

Stayed in a king room on the first night that the rooms were open (November 1, 2016). Thankfully, the room was free or else I would've felt totally scammed. If you pay anything more than $100/night for this place you're not only getting ripped off in the casino but the hotel as well.

The decor in the hotel is HIDEOUS. If you long for a return to the 1970s then this place is your dream. I swear I saw swag lamps next to the bed or something remarkably as distasteful. The soaking tub is one hell of a soaking tub -- if you're 4'6" in height. Not a single jet in the tub either and the water pressure is so dismal it will take two hours out of your stay to fill the tub (ok, maybe a slight exaggeration but it is the slowest running water I have ever seen for a soaking tub). That lack of water pressure, by the way, carries over to the separate shower and the massaging shower head is wasted because all you will feel is trickles.

There is a complete lack of comfort and style in these rooms. The work space/desk lacks a single drawer, there is no TV cabinet or anything similar that provides drawers in which to place things, the "dresser" drawers are limited in number and capacity, and there are likewise, no drawers or cabinets at all in the bathroom. The toilet in the bathroom is so small and awkwardly placed that if you are bigger than maybe 6'2" or 250lbs. you're going to be in for an adventure.

The TV is the most ridiculous sized TV for a hotel that is brand new so bring your binoculars if you intend to watch TV from bed. The color scheme chosen for the rooms makes you want to vomit the entire time that your eyes are open in the room. In short, whoever designed these rooms should never be permitted to do so again with any other hotel EVER. Perhaps it was the general contractor's spouse who provided the interior design elements or some poor patron who lost big in the casino and is trying to repay a debt (I know this narrows the potential pool of possible people down to approximately 250,000).

Pretty sad that with all of the hype and build up this place has given for its hotel over the past several months (if not years) that this was the best that could be provided. Rather than a "resort" type of room it reminds you more of a Holiday Inn room.

Thunder Valley built its hotel about 10 years ago but you would think it was Graton that built its hotel 10 years ago. Thunder Valley's rooms completely blow Graton's rooms out of the water (not even a contest). Even Cache Creek has better rooms than what you'll get at the newest "casino and resort" destination. Don't get ripped off by the casino and the hotel and stay away from the hotel (and the casino if you can).

Have any desire to enjoy a cold beverage from the mini bar? Better hope that whoever prepared your room remembered to put the beverages and other things in the mini bar rather than leaving them all sitting on the top of the desk above the mini bar. I'm still baffled by how someone forgets to put more than 30 cans and bottles of beverages into the mini bar (alcohol included) and just leaves every one of them sitting outside.

Be sure to also check your glassware before using any of the glasses or you might end up with a nasty cut lip/mouth from the glass that has the large chip on the top of it (how you place a chipped drinking glass in a hotel room that is brand new is again something I cannot begin to comprehend).

These rooms are seriously overpriced currently. However, don't fret. No one will ever pay the current prices to stay here or, if they do, they'll make sure to never come back again. In about a few months, the price for these rooms will drop like a bad habit to below $100/night. Within a year, this hotel will be the equivalent of a Ramada Inn.

Graton should take some of the tens of millions it makes from robbing people in its casino and implode this new hotel and start over. Perhaps the architects and interior designers from Thunder Valley are available now to assist.

P.S. The interior hallway lighting is enough to burn your retinas. You would think they were lighting up AT&T Park for a nighttime Giants game it is so freaking bright in the hallways ("I wear my sunglasses at night").

P.P.S. Enjoy the stellar views from your windows -- of the parking lot and rooftop. If you're lucky, maybe you can get a glimpse of Scandia Family Fun Center.

WOW!!! WHAT A BUMMER. We have been going to Graton since it first opened and to our surprise went last weekend (Sept. 3rd and 4th, 2016 ) to find it has gone totally down hill. We had at least one person every 15 minutes coming up to us and asking for money while we where trying to have a good time playing on the slots. Reminded us of Downtown San Francisco streets. People where not dressed for public and smelled bad. How this casino can allow this type of person even in the door is beyond me.
The smoking has increased exponentially as well as the damaged and filthy machines. Trying to play on a machine without some type of ashes, garbage, spilled drink on the seats or someone blowing smoke in your face was almost impossible and it wasn't even noon yet.
Sorry Graton but you have now become the same trashy environment as those on the Strip in Vegas. So sad. Good luck with new hotel high food prices and no buffet.
