Let's acknowledge that this hotel is past its use-by date. It's pretty tired and run down. The TVs are old school tube type mounted on top of a closet with washed out color (in our room). But on the other hand the bed (we had a King Room) is okay (a bit hard for my taste but tolerable). The room is warm and functional (although the heating/ac unit was noisy) and included a refrigerator. So there are no frills here (thin towels, few toiletries and so on) but at $75 a night which includes a cold breakfast and on demand coffee it's not that bad. Front desk staff were more efficient than they were friendly.
For our one night stay en route to Lake Tahoe this was an adequate cheap option. I would probably prefer a nicer hotel next time I'm in the area and I suspect this one will begin to decline soon unless it gets renovated.More
