The church is quite unassuming with a nice interior. The highlight is the view from the tower. To reach the small viewing platform that encircles the tower, you climb a narrow, spiral staircase. On a mid-week day in early April, there were few visitors and the staircase was not crowded. I imagine on a hot summer day, with lots of cruise ships in town, this staircase would be a bit of a nightmare. There isn't really room for people going up and down to pass each other except at the landings. The views of the old town from the top are great!
What seems a normal church, the tower was once used by the KGB to block Finnish TV signals. An impressive building, with an example of a lovely old warehouse just around the corner, now a restaurant.
