We like a lot to walk that path around Roosa raba. Nature was so pure and nice! Lots of benches where you can rest and bogs where you can swum!

This is a quick, easy boardwalk stroll through stunning scenery, with a couple of places where you can take a dip in a bog pool (the water - lovely and warm at the surface - is shockingly cold from about a foot down - it's very deep!) and several others where you can just take a seat and look around you, taking in the sights, sounds, and smells. Toilets only at beginning of loop so use before you go.

This is a pretty simple decision - you did not have a chance to visit Lahemaa? Riisa Trail just became a must-see. Otherwise, you will probably find it pretty similar, given that you are visiting in the same season. Main differences? Definitely less visitors, more life - tiny butterflies, lizards, and all but small dragonflies. It seemed less intensive compared to Lahemaa's Viru Bog Trail - there were longer intervals between worthwhile stops.

The Riisa trail forms a loop - we found it very accessible. Please note that, as usual, the best parts are off the "pedestrian highway" - I would definitely recommend against taking a trolley. No surprises when trying to reach it by car - just type Riisa and stop where some cars are parked by the road, the entrance is clearly visible.

It's about 4.8km, easy to walk because of the wooden boards, you won't have more than 80 mins for the round-trail. Very quiet, some parts are in the forest, but most of it is in the open bog.
