It's the oldest church on Ruhnu and made totally out of wooden shipwrecks. There's a very little chance to get inside but there's always a possibility to see the interior through windows.

Unique and petite church un old-fashion style, over 400years old is very welcoming. The doors are usually closed but You always can communicate with locals and get inside. The mist amazing thing for me is a smell of old wood and ladan. The windows are decirated with unique copies of old vitrazes, made by Art Academy students in las Soviet time. You can hear or read about church's history, about local traditions of Rannarootslased (bank swedish) whi rulled the island's life till the end of 2. WW but were forced to abandon the homeland due to soviet invasion. There are plenty of beautiful legends told by licals, peaceful cementery is full of family trade marks, and right next to the old church there is a new one as well. So You could get a fuul impression of history meeting nowdays religious life. If You are searching for spiritual experience, I can definitely advise You to visit Ruhnu Old Church. Im loving it!
