We stayed mid-week in early June. We had the place to ourselves, and indeed virtually the village to ourselves.
The only restaurant in town was allegedly open but in reality no one around. We ended up eating in the Kohvik Suur Muna at the foot of the steps to Suur Muna hill in Haanja, which was friendly and attractive.
The owner speaks no English so we communicated in German. She did her best to be helpful.
The whole place is very clean but a little bit tired and dated. Our room, at the front of the building with view to the lake, cost £45 for 2 people. It had a double and a single bed, bathroom and basic lounge. Good value, but unmemorable.
Breakfast was very good.
Not a great place for couples, and not much going on at times, evidently.
Would be a good place for a group of friends or a large family gathering.More
