Next to the Pilistvere graveyard a beautiful and peaceful memorial was initiated by the Pilistvere legendary pastor Vello Salum. Stones have been brought here from all over Estonia. From homes from where people were deported to Siberia by the soviets.

It is a beautiful quiet place. A home. Like many from where the families were deported. People have been bringing stones here in memory of lost lives, of lost homes. Some have been engraved carrying the names of the deported family members. Some brought from the homes from where they were deported.

A lot of food for thought.

May they rest in peace, but be remembered.
