We booked 3 Villas, two Large ones and one small one. Two were connected which is ideal for a family. Heavenly Beds, Granite Kitchens, Fireplaces, W/D in all units, nice patios and Grills make for an amazing family getaway. This is our 10th straight year at the Westin Mission Hills Villas. We booked a Cabana for Saturday which was a bit pricey at $300, but not too bad when split among 3 families. We were able to bring some food to it and non-glass drinks as it has a fridge and Westin allows soft coolers. The service at the front desk was impeccable and all the staff were polite, funny, and engaging. My daughter sung a song for Pool entertainment and management sent us a Fruit Plate for helping a little girl find her folks. The Westin is truly a home away from home. Can't wait for the next trip!

Dear c007smooth,

We truly appreciate the 5 star rating and it is such a pleasure to read about your resort experience. The greatest compliment is your trust and repeat business and for that we are most thankful for the last 10 years of loyalty. I want to personally thank you for helping reconnect the little one with her parents and they were extremely appreciative as well. We look forward to your visit next year if not sooner.

Warm Regards,
Parrish

We ran down to Palm Desert for Memorial Day weekend. We knew it would be crowded, but we did not plan on the wind. When we arrived on Saturday, the winds must have been 50+ mph. Too windy to go to the pool. We went for an early dinner up on Hwy 111 and it seemed much calmer there. This resort has lots of open land to the south so maybe that is why??? The pool area was incredibly crowded. Not a seat to be found after 11AM. It is a pretty nice resort, but just too crowded and windy over Memorial Day weekend.

We loved this resort. The pool was great and our daughter-in-law loved the slide - not so popular with our 4 year old grandson. However, there was hardly room in the pool on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. Fortunately, we were able to stay till Wednesday morning and the pool was much less busy on Monday and on Tuesday we had the pool almost to ourselves. The temperature was unbelievably hot -- too hot to really do anything else except sit at the pool. Too bad because the Living Dessert Zoo and Gardens are well worth a visit - not to mention Joshua Tree National Park. But, if you weren't going to get up at 6:00am, it was too hot to go out.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the second floor - the views are spectacular.

Highly recommend The Westin Mission Hills@Palm Desert. I truly enjoy this property above all other Westin Properties. Amazing and very professional staff, they truly make you feel like you’re family. Luis and Yesenia were awesome at poolside. I have two little boy’s that love the kid’s club, Itzel is just the sweetest with the kids. Looking forward to our next stay on the 4th of July.

We went there with no real expectations other than a nice few days away. The winds were high (usual at that time of the year) so we did have to sweep the patio every time we wanted to sit outside. We had a small one bedroom, but it was adequate for two. Able to cook as needed. Pool without the slide was perfect. Mostly adults there so quiet.
