I was satisfied with the room in that it was clean and bed was comfy. the next night I stayed at the best western and for the little difference in price the BW was WONDERFUL. the Gold Country room did not have a coffee maker, TV was analog, and just frugal. owners don't get it that a little bit makes a difference.

The motel is old and not well maintained. There were Dirty Linens on the bed, the toilet and bath/shower cramped. Refrigerator is in the room.... older TV. Bed was marginally comfortable. Heater worked good. Coffee available free at 7AM.

Give this place a pass..... $100 a night is too much for this poor quality

the new management is doing a great job with customer service. the room was clean and neat. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. It was a little pricey for what you get but all in all a great hotel

Half the stations on the t.v. Didn't work the room was shabby.It definetly needs some upgrading For the price it was not a good stay .The other hotels in town are less so save yourself some money and go elsewhere

We have a 36 most popular channel's Including CNN,FOX BUSINESS.CNBC,MSNBC,ESPN,USA,TBS,NFL NETWORK Etc. we always trying to improved our property maintained. and provide best service possible.

The Gold Country Inn's brochure states their rooms are "impeccably clean." This is NOT true. My friend and I checked in a bit after 10:00 pm, we settled in, in spite of the few ants in the bathroom, the crushed beer can in the trash bin, the few stray sesame seeds on the end table, and the mold in the refrigerator. We thought we could overlook these things. We did not need the refrigerator, and at first glance, the bathtub was clean. We watched a movie, and readied for bed. On second glance, the bathroom tub had mold in the inside of the shower enclosure, the shower track had a lot of flecks of an unidentifiable substance. We knew we had to leave when both beds had stray hairs. My friends bed, had one short stray hair. My bed had three stray hairs, the bed sheets were wrinkled and rumpled, and looked as if somebody had slept in the bed, then pulled up the sheets and tightly tucked in the bedspread.

We spent the next 30-40 minutes looking for another hotel. This was a difficult task, since by this time, it was a bit after midnight. It appeared as if every hotel, motel and inn was full. The site we were using, kept defaulting to a check in for the next day. This would not work for us since check in times are usually in the afternoon. I took a chance and called a hotel. I spoke with a women at this hotel and when explaining the city we were in and our situation--she actually, on the first attempt, named the hotel we were at. She found us a room. We packed quickly, woke up the man who earlier checked us in and told him, that we were leaving due to the condition of our room. He suggested, that he move us to another room. After what we experienced, we had no confidence in the housekeeping or the integrity of the staff responsible for the rooms and declined. I told him we were leaving and asked, that he credit the card used. Of course, he refused. I told him, I would dispute the charges in all ways that are possible and this is currently under investigation.
