Just a nice walk down the pier to watch the surfers, sunsets and fishermen. No food or nightlife. Lots of benches to relax on and history info on the area.

Long wooden pier for relaxing walks, clean sandy beach, stores and restaurants nearby. Worth a visit who ever you are.

We walked out to the end of the pier and watched the sea otter eating. Too cute.

Nice weather when we went, (apr 2012) so lots of people. Recommend going on weekday so you can visit every shop. Unique boutiques with lots of trinkets. Pay for parking was a $1 an hour so you can't beat that and convenient pay station computers on almost every corner. Lots of parking now with those and no more having to move your car because after 6 p.m. its free! Gift shop vendors very friendly. Great place to take family or for couple getaway.

We were driving from San Francisco and decided to stop here since it was one of the few sunny days we had and we're glad we did. Clean beach, we got there just as a bunch of vendors were setting up so we had a beer walked around and sadly had to continue on our trip. Definitely make a stop here if you're driving along the coast.
