Jacob, our host, sat us on back patio, which was nice, and told us our waitress would attend to us shortly. But after 30 minutes, no one had yet waited on us. Out of sight, out of mind. So I alerted Jacob through the window. He came to our rescue and was quite apologetic. I ordered a ribeye. My friend ordered a filet. We were both served ribeyes, however. Meat was tough and devoid of flavor, but nonetheless expensive. Due to the wait, they gave us free desserts. Better value at a chain steakhouse, like Outback.

We are so sorry to hear that you were forgotten after being seating on our outdoor patio, we will certainly take steps to ensure our serving team pays closer attention in the future to avoid subjecting future guests to unnecessary waits. Jacob has grown into an exemplary team member and we love to hear that he took the initiative to rescue you. We do hope that you were able to alert the staff to the discrepancies in your order so that they were able to adjust your bill as the visual difference between the Rib Eye and Filet is obvious to even an untrained eye. Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback so that we can continue to improve our service standards.

Let me start off by saying no corkage fee! You save $20 right from the start! The prime rib was delicious, very moist and tender! The artichokes, which I’m a fan of anyway, were exceptionally good. Even my husband who does not like artichokes, loved them. The Aioli was terrific. The grounds were beautiful! I could see sitting outside for lunch would be beautiful with the water fountains and the beautiful garden surrounding the restaurant. If I’m ever back in Paso Robles, I’ll come back!

We're local to the Paso area, and since we live here, we don't visit the hotels very often. It had probably been 10 years since we'd been to the Paso Robles Inn. We got tired of going to the same restaurants, so we decided to give the Paso Robles Inn a try.

It has changed. It's been updated and is beautiful inside. We could not have had a better experience. We sat right in front of the fireplace on a cold winter night. The food was really wonderful. We started with the crispy brussel sprouts appetizer -- to die for! I had the braised short ribs, which were incredible. My husband had something healthy, like grilled fish -- I suppose it was good, but I was too busy devouring my food. You can see we're on the same diet.

We've returned a couple of times since and really enjoy it. I think it holds its own with some of the other better restaurants in the area. We have been back a couple of times, and I think a few of the other posters comments are correct, and I'm only mentioning these as a way to improve the great strides they've already made.

Sometimes -- not always -- there is a lag in the service even when it appears not to be busy. We don't mind relaxing over a drink, but we need that drink first. There have been waits as long as 15 minutes to get the server over even when it is not busy and then longer to get the drink, but I think that part of that glitch is the bar being upstairs. This seems to occur on Sunday nights most frequently. It's caused me to wonder if, possibly, there isn't a restaurant manager on duty that night.

I think the Inn has come a long, long way, and we will definitely be back because it is worth dining there -- even if you just go for a drink and the crispy brussel sprouts. If there was a tweak in the service and possibly an addition of a bar downstairs for the restaurant, this could be a contender for go-to downtown spot.

We will see you again!

Thank you for taking the time to provide such constructive feedback about your experiences here at The Steakhouse. We truly cherish the opportunity to improve and your recent review, so obviously geared at helping us do just that, is refreshingly informative and very much appreciated. Although we have a variety of unique hurtles to overcome with our upstairs Lounge we have recently reorganized the staff to better address long waits for beverage, we hope to drastically decrease these waits going forward with the new systems we have put in place. We are very glad to hear that you love the Crispy Brussels Sprouts just as much as we do, we look forward to delighting you with some of our other favorites on your next visit.

We had reservations last evening and when we were seated water and bread was placed on the table. No waitress/waiter came to greet us or open our bottle of wine that we brought with us. We ended up serving our own wine. Still no one came to our table so I went to the front desk and asked for service. The young man told me that he didn't realize we were still waiting for service so he went to find a server. On another note while I was waiting to speak to the front desk he told 2 women that asked for a table that the wait would be longer than usual because they had just received a rush of people. That was not the case there were very few of us in that dining room with 2 servers. Our waitress finally came to our table after we had been sitting for 15-20 minutes. Food arrived and the prime rib and sirloin steaks were warm but more importantly the mashed potatoes were COLD. Management clearly has not placed customer service as a high priority with their staff. We will not come back.

Customer service and providing the best guest experience possible is certainly of utmost importance for our management team; clearly in this instance we truly fell short of that goal and we hope that you accept our sincerest apologies for the difficulties you experienced during your most recent visit. We thank you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback so that we can clearly identify the areas where we need improvement and continue to improve our service standards and food quality. We do hope that you will consider returning to The Steakhouse so that we can improve upon your initial impression and provide the kind of experience that we know all of our guests deserve.

A fixed price for a great meal makes this worth including on your list. The prime rib and potatoes au gratin are delish!
