To be sure CaliPaso Inn is not a budget hotel. Not by our standards anyway. That said, if you're thinking of visiting the Paso Robles area you can't do better than this place in my experience. There are only eight beautiful rooms. My wife and I enjoyed a bottle (or two) of local Cabernet on the balcony and watched the Blood Moon rise over the vineyard. The inn is in the middle of their own vineyard. The inn grounds are perfectly maintained with beautiful fountains. The staff are all super accommodating, efficient, and friendly. Breakfast is delicious. We had a choice of quiche, French toast, bacon, hot and cold cereals, and a lot of pastries. Good coffee and the orange juice machine! Watch your juice being squeezed from fresh oranges right in front of your eyes.

Bottom line - not the most budget friendly but you certainly get what you pay for and more.

We loved our stay here! Such a gorgeous respite from the heat. We had planned to check in then head back out again but when we saw how lovely it was we decided to stay and soak it all in - no regrets at all! Do not miss the wine/cheese hour at 5.30pm. We are from Asia so found the Apple juice at breakfast to be particularly different and delicious! Try it! Great pancakes and banana cake at breakfast too. The vineyard views from the room, the breathtaking grounds to stroll around - magical! Just wish they had dinner and a pool, but Allegretto is literally 6min drive and we called to order and went to pick up our pizza - easy peasy

Quiet, intimate, and relaxing. Woke up to the sound of birds chirping, no traffic. Excellent breakfast, and happy hour. Glad that they have reopened. Would definitely recommend for a couples romantic get away.

If you are looking for solitude, this is the place for you. The rooms are large, breakfast is ok, and the grounds are nice. This was built as a high end villas some years back; the owners went into bankruptcy and stopped plans to finish the property. There is no pool or outdoor hot tub. The service is ok if you can find someone; and the room doors are difficult to unlock/lock. The
Property could rival others, but it is in need of investment. Stay at Allegretto closer to town, you pass it on the way here, a reminder of what could have been.

We loved it so much we came back and stayed for two nights. This time we stayed in the Pinot Grigio room which has a so so view. Probably best to choose a room in the center of the inn.

Breakfast tin the morning is awesome! BACON an egg dish, coffee, juices and typical continental stuff. You receive a discount for all Calipaso Wines purchased and you are able to taste in the evenings at the inn or go to the tasting room in downtown paso!

Please stay here if you ever have a chance!

Room Tip: Do not choose Grappa or Pinot Grigio rooms, ask for something in the middle!
