Description: Tamarine is a contemporary Vietnamese restaurant that features the light but flavor-intensive culinary delicacies of Vietnam. The restaurant offers a menu based on small plates, promoting the Vietnamese tradition of the 'shared' meal in which food is shared and enjoyed with those close. Tamarine's small plate entrees are enjoyed with the pairing of a variety of aromatic, flavor infused rice, designed to be mixed and matched to create a truly unique flavor experience. Along with culinary delicacies of Vietnam, the restaurant showcases the works of emerging artists from Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries.

Overall the food is very good but a little overpriced (as well as the wine). The calamari appetizer is great but the spring rolls are bland. The lamb chops were good with a nice char on the outside. The sake mushrooms were excellent. On a Sunday night, the restaurant was full with a large percentage of families.

I was privileged to be invited to a lovely dinner banquet last Saturday at Tamarine. It's one thing to provide great indivualized orders, but another level of challenge to offer great food and service at a large gathering. I have to say: Tamarine hit it out of the park. Food (four appetizers, four entrees, and dessert) was uniformly outstanding. Wines, chosen by Wine Director Darien Brocco, were also lovely, especially the Domaine Serene Evanstad Vineyard Pinot Noir from Oregon. What really stood out was the service however. Not only were all waiters wonderfully available and polite, they also managed to accommodate my gluten-free wife with individualized dishes in the midst of the banquet. This restaurant does not scrimp on employees - there were plenty bustling around. But the quality of service was just as good as the quantity. I really commend the restaurant for being generous in employment. It's a very different experience when someone is always available to switch out a wine glass when you're shifting from white to red or any other whim that comes to you in the meal.

Nice decor, great service, well presented food and high prices to match.

Entrees were not very large serving size. Taste was good though I found the Tamarine Prawns rather too sweet.

the overall meal was good, but a bit overpriced...the food is catered towards the milder palate lovers, so if you are looking for mild and subtle flavors, then this is the place. for those seeking the flavorful Asian style restaurants, then maybe you ought to look elsewhere. Service was a bit tardy, as our waiter even forgot one dish. Bourdain Pork was really good, and so were the appetizers, however, the Papaya salad was really sad....only a sweetish taste with no flavor.

We were delighted by everything we ordered and the excellent presentation. Always a fan of shaking beef, I was not disappointed. The glass noodles and the sea bass were likewise excellent. Service is attentive and the wine list is extensive.
