It's a good, straightforward old-fashioned motel. They would probably object to that (the "old fashioned" part), but it just offered the basics in what seemed like an old fashioned lay-out.

Likes: The room was clean, and, in particular, the sheets and pillow cases were crisp and white. The staff was helpful, explaining how the buses work, offering coffee, etc. Another huge plus for me was the location -- its proximity to Stanford. But don't be fooled; it's still a 2-mile walk. I left my car at the hotel and caught the # 22 bus (there is a bus stop directly across the street).

Bus info: The # 22 bus line ends at a bus station directly across from the main Stanford entrance. From there, on weekdays you can catch a Stanford shuttle bus. On weekends, you're on your own. We used a cab, or you could hoof it, but it's still kind of far. The # 22 runs up and down El Camino Real until late. I caught it at 11pm. It might run all night. Check on the hours.

Other likes: It was decently priced for the area.

Dislikes: They gave me 2 free bottles of water the first day (like), but not the second (dislike). (Maybe one was intended for each day?) Also, the breakfast in the reception area isn't much to speak of. Mainly dry cereal, coffee, etc. But I wasn't expecting much. There is a McDonalds next door if you need an egg McMuffin. Some might complain about the street noise. I was so tired I didn't notice. The biggest dislike: The was no Gideon Bible. :-(

On the whole: I liked it and would stay there again. It was simple, unpretentious, but covered all the bases as far as I was concerned (I don't require bells and whistles).

Dear bowrudder7,

Thank you so much for your detailed feedback! We are happy to know that you found our accommodations clean, well-located, and our staff helpful. I will be sure to pass on your kind words to our excellent housekeeping and front-desk staff.

As you mentioned, we do provide a light continental breakfast consisting of cereals, toast, biscotti, fruit, coffee, milk, juice, tea, and oatmeal. For our guests who seek a more substantial breakfast, there is an excellent diner at the end of the block heading south, a McDonald's to the north, and a Corner Baker one block south.

Thank you for your kind feedback and we look forward to serving you in the future.

Sincerely,

Yatin P

Not the fanciest place to stay but you can walk or take the bus to the Stanford stadium. Needs more food places close by that could be a downsize to the location. But for a place tro sleep and relax before the game and with a reasonable cost $150 night this was okay for the 3 of us!

Dear Bob S,

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you found our hotel to be a good choice near Stanford Stadium.

For guests looking to walk to some great food options, there is an excellent seafood restaurant next door to the hotel. In addition, California Avenue is a short 10-15 minute walk and they have great options - Italian, Mexican, Mediterranean, and burgers, to name a few.

We hope to see you again on a future stay!

Sincerely,

Yatin P

I wouldn’t count on the skimpy breakfast holding you through to lunch, but the Parmani provides clean digs and attentive staff at a modest price, and in a good location - near Stanford - too. It’s worth a go.

Room Tip: I stayed in the room closest to the street and noise wasn’t an issue.

The suites are good size. Very comfortably sleeps 4 and has space in a sitting area. Works well for our family of 4. Building and rooms need work though. The furniture and structure are a bit beat up. Unsure if they're in the process of fixing holes, broken molding.

the heater was as loud, the bed was cheap, and the location was terrible. Price was way too expensive for what you get. Its a remodeled 70s style strip motel not a hotel. just a warning for this area, book ahead because all of the rates during the week are outrageous.

Room Tip: dont stay here

Dear Jonathan F,

We are sorry that your experience did not meet expectations. All of our rooms have a wall-mounted AC/Heating unit. We understand that for some of our guests the units may be nosier than is their preference. With regards to location, we encourage all of our guests to research the area thoroughly prior to booking as it is not something we can physically change. We are a short distance to Caltrain and several public transportation options, as well as Stanford University. Most everything in Palo Alto is easily accessible from our location within a 5-10 minute drive.

Our rates are generally in line with those of our competitors. I welcome your specific feedback on how we may improve the price/value. We offer a light complimentary continental breakfast, complimentary bottles of water at check-in, Wi-Fi, and in-room Starbucks coffee.

Sincerely,

Yatin P
