The service is this restaurant was appalling, the food just OK, wine list limited and over priced - in fact our whole experience was not up to par! Wanted to order the Bifteki and asked if I could replace the fries with salad and was told that they need to check with the chef. A few minutes later our server came back to inform us that the swap with village salad (which is listed on the menu) was not possible! (No low carb option) They did not even try to accommodate a simple request. Common sense is not very common apparently and customer service is a lost art. Not impressed with this restaurant and will not be returning.

Taverna is just the atmosphere .
The service is ok but the variety of Food is very limited specially concerning main dishes .
Greek Salad is not authentic & over prized.
If u want to go as for the ambiance it’s nice but if u are hungry & u are graving for Greek Food it’s definitely not the place to go !!!

We went here for a dinner before a concert, so could get one of those early tables. It is mostly Greek inspired food, in a lovely setting. It is not a quiet restaurant, but conversation is much easier here than in nearby Evvia. They first brought out a tiny cup of a pureed gazpacho like soup which was very refreshing. We had taramosalata and some large (~8") Monterey Bay sardines to start - and both were delicious, and nicely presented. The taramosalata had freshly made potato chips for scooping up the cod roe. We then had Loukaniko - a house sausage that was flavorful - and Saganaki - a kind of grilled cheese with caramelized onions and sunflower seeds. Comfort food, that one. We finished with the game hen which had a delicious sauce and nice arugula and sliced veggies. Our dessert was some Greek yoghurt with honey, berries, semolina and nuts. Total food cost was about $100.
Two starters, two small plates and one entree was perfect for this mid-60s couple.
The wine list is fun to look over. Yes, there were some wines I will never be able to taste (Guigal Cote Rotie, La Mouline, over $1000), but there were a lot of what I call 2 digit wines (under $100) from Greece, Europe and the new world. With guidance from our server, we got a 2012 Cabernet/syrah/limniona blend from Theopetra Estate ($99) which was delicious, stimulating all of the tongue, but not overpowering, and not tannic. There appear to be a lot of good choices for the wine lover here.
A great addition to our community!

The place is small but very well done and the food is delicious. The staff is very attentive. We shared the chips, whole fish special, fries, greens which were all very good and the presentation was great. The tables are very close together and there is not much space but the decor is nice and simple also. I will go back and try a few more dishes. Hard to get a reservation.

It’s a small restaurant, tables are packed. The only tables available were at 5:30 or 9pm on Sat night. We picked the 5:30 slot, so we were not hungry to try more dishes. The cheese plate appetizer had enough choices. The grilled octopus was very yummy. The lamb rack was also good but only one piece on the dish, disappointing. The price tags are expensive. Staff & services were friendly.
