First time in Palm Springs so I didn't know what to expect. The hotel is in a great location, easy to walk to most downtown attractions. When we arrived, because we were staying for a week, we were upgraded to a mini suite which has a separate living room area from the bed alcove. It was room 377. The extra space was really nice. Great pool view from the spacious balcony. The room was clean, housekeeping was fairly good (although inconsistent with filling up coffee machine fillers such as creamers, sugar, etc.). Got two bottles of water with turn down service each night which was nice.

The pool area was great, and not as crowded as I expected. Week days we practically had the place to ourselves at some points. Was nice to have the pool bar available to serve food pool side, and cocktails. (Food was decent and well priced, although we found the cost for the cocktails a little high for the small glass you get...but it's a hotel bar so it was kind of expected). Enjoyed the hot tubs at night.

Overall we were pretty pleased with our choice. Not a lot we could find to fault. The hotel offers free shuttles to the airport or car rental places which we took advantage of.

I'd recommend this hotel to friends if they're looking for a mid level hotel close to everything.

Tip: if you have a car and don't want to pay the $18.00 / day to use their lot, just park on the street a few feet away and equally well lit. There are no tow away zones or paid parking in DT Palm Springs, so you can save some cash.

Also, upgrade to the pool view rooms facing the pool and courtyard. I couldn't imagine having a room facing the parking lot or construction lots across the street.

Room tip: Upgrade to pool view worth it.

The hotel is beautiful, location is idyllic. Check in, awkward and embarrassing. Palm Springs is known for being LGBTQ friendly, right? After checking in, getting keys, we starting walking away and the female receptionist said, in such tone that could be heard across the lobby, “are you sure you want one bed, or do you need two?” When everyone looked at us, you can imagine the uncomfortable awkwardness she caused. Saturday morning came, went to shower and we had NO towels. I get it, little oversight. I had to call 6 times over the period of an hour. Finally a female from housekeeping showed up. Her reply was “Housman didn’t have radio on.” No apology from her nor the FOM when I called to express my frustration.

You will charged to park ($18/day) and you might not even get to park on their grounds! They will tell you to park across the street. WHAT? The valet section had open spaces and you are going to make me park across the street?

My husband and I went here for our anniversary. Kids were little last time we stayed. We didn’t really appreciate the location at the time. The hotel is a short block from the main drag. Close to shopping and restaurants. We had a room with a pool view. Though we couldn’t see the pool because of the lunch trees, we had a wonderful view of the mountains. We sat on on the balcony and just chilled after a day of shopping. The beautiful sunset and counting the stars as they revealed themselves. We were very lucky to have perfect mid 80s weather. The hotel was comfortable. Pool was reshreshing and bartender a crack up. It was a lovely time and look forward to next year.
