My friend & I split a spinach salad and a pizza sandwich (made on a homemade bun from the pizza dough, cooked in the wood oven). I have to say the bread served before the meal, and the bun were the best bread I've ever had! Next time I'll try a pizza. Service was great, it was lunch, and fairly busy. Loved everything, will definitely go back soon.
We were sorry that we were too full to try the homemade canolli, or tiramisu.

There's just something intriguing about a 850 degree pizza oven. Had to try it. Started with the extensive beer/wine list. Prices were very reasonable. Interesting appetizers and salads. The menu is divided into white and red pizza. It's not overly long. They do a few things very well. There is pasta and a limited offering of "entrees" for the infernally picky. But the pizza is what you come for. And it's worth it.

We ate at Piero's last night for the first time and found the pizza to be excellent. We have traveled extensively in Italy and the pizza was as good as any we had while we where there. We were able to dine in their outside area just as the sun was setting. It is enjoyable to sit outside and watch all of the very high end cars go up and El Paseo while enjoying a glass of fine Tuscan red wine. The service was excellent. All in all it was a very good evening and we enjoyed the casual atmosphere. We will be going again in the future.

Wow - can't believe this was ranked so high in TA. TA typically doesn't fail but it did this time. We ordered the pizza which was average but the salad was real sad - avoid. We had high expectations after the reviews on TA but were sorely disappointed. The wheat beer was the only thing that made me give it 2 starts instead of 1.

There are way many other pizza joints in the area that would be worth checking out before eating here.

We met Melissa - the manager - and had a lovely meal. All the people around us were in the mood for conversation, sharing their favorite menu choice, etc. My husband and I each had a glass of Chianti (two different vineyards) and he had a pepperoni pizza and I had the Zita pasta. The flavors truly popped! When you see the dishes, they look unadorned, but when you put a small bite in your mouth - mama mia - it comes to life! Total bill $50, and loved both food and atmosphere. We sat in the outside area, which had the plastic down. No heaters were needed, although available and Melissa let us know they were available if we wanted them. Place was packed at 8pm. Try it - you'll like it. We will be back.
