Needs updating in kitchen area of units. Stove had al, visible markings gone, making it difficult to use. Sinks and faucets aren’t in best working order. Pools are overcrowded for sure. Very noisy, needs better insulation between floors.
Staff, however are friendly.

Room tip: Upper floors if you don’t like noise.

Love, love, love this place! Definitely a great getaway location with kids. Like other timeshare destinations, the room is perfectly equipped for a family with kids. Full kitchen to cook meals, bbq stations, balcony, and a separate bedroom for the parents. There are SO many activities for kids. 5 pools, activity center, pool and ping pong tables, arcade and movie theater, and water slide! There are daily movies and scheduled activities at the center and pool(s), as well as movies at the pool. There are also several dining options and a mini market. We’ve been to multiple hotels in Palm Desert, and this might be our new favorite!

This place is nice, but a few things to know before booking:
There is no daily housekeeping - major bumber if you have kids or plan to do any cooking. There is no towel service - so yog have to take the towels from your room to the poop area, and if you forgot or didn't bring enough well then it sucks.
Check in is at 4pm and check out is ar 10am - they are strict and not willing to give you extra time in the room even if you are willing to pay for it, also they didn't give us our room keys until 3:55. This was provabaly the biggest inconvenience for us as we needed to drive back to la ans wanted to shower the kids and get them ready for bed before heading out at 5:30pm. Instead we had to shower them in the fitness center, had to empty the room and put everything in the car at 10am so we couldn't keep our food ( weather is super hot - they do have a courtesy fridge but very far from the poop area). Additionally they had rooms available for the following night and I offered to pay for another full night in our room if we could checkout later but they said we could. It at "an owner was coming in".
The resort is huge - so if you aren't set up in one of the buildings close to the pool you have to take a shuttle which can be tough with kids.
Now the good stuff! The place is very kid friendly, they have goodie bags for the kids when you checkin, the kids activities are awesome and the kid play area is super cool with continuous movies placing and arcades. The rooms are a bit dated but spacious. If you are on the fence def at least go with the one bedroom suite- it's very large. Also they provide high chairs and pack n plays. It's a nice resort but important to know about the constraints going in.

Thank you for letting us know about your recent stay. We are sorry to hear there were a few policies you did not know about prior to traveling and that made your stay less than five-star. Your feedback is appreciated and we do hope your next stay with Marriott Vacation Club exceeds your expectations.

This is a great resort, however with school getting out earlier these days, it is not a place for couples or retirees from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The place is inundated with children. They only have 5 pools. This is a problem because they are adding more units but not more pools. Even the pool which was once known as the "Quiet Pool" has unsupervised children running around doing cannonballs, belly flops, and squirting people with squirt guns. It often feels as though adults have no rights during the summer months. Go to this resort from September through May if you are looking for a place to relax.

Room tip: Third floor if you want to avoid noise, especially from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Just spent our 6th consecutive May at the resort and admit this is like a home away from home. Had a one bedroom on the top ofloor of the 2100 building overlooking the pond and the 16th fairway. The Units come with full kitchens and washing machines. Spent 3 weeks enjoying the resort and all of the adjacent areas of the desert area. The week days are quiet and relaxing but come the weekend, the resort fills up quickly with guests escaping the LA area. Staff ensure you are enjoying your stay and always greet you with a hello and big smile. Kudos go to Michelle at the Concierge desk and Hedy at the Pool deck. Great service!!!! NOw for our only complaint and it has nothing to do with the resort or its staff. It has to do with the rude guests who invaded the resort on the weekend of May 18-20th who decided they were superior to everyone else and didn't have a polite bone in the bodies. THey felt that all staff and guests should serve them as it was their religious weekend retreat and were completely disgusting. They treated the staff like trash and should NOT be permitted to return or travel to ANY resort. The staff did an outstanding job and must be commended for their composure and service. This is a family resort with great pools, a beautiful golf course and is close to all services including Costco, Albertson, Ralph's and the Hwy. HIghly recommend for everyone (except those who ruined last weekend).
