Food was very good and a nice selection but if you are expecting food like you get in Spain you might be a little disappointed. Excellent service and atmosphere. The sangria was excellent and had a little kick to it

This restaurant/nite club had Flamenco dancers early on (around 9) and then an excellent live salsa band at 10, didn't eat there. The place could stand to be redecorated but otherwise nice

My wife and I stumbled across this outstanding restaurant and Latin dance club thanks to the sleuth work of the concierge at our nearby hotel. It is actually right next to Irvine, far from the beach and perhaps why we had not heard of it, although they have been in business for 18 years. This place claims to be the top-rated salsa club in Orange County and after this visit I could definitely believe that is true. They have a superb flamenco dance show Fridays through Sundays, followed by dance classes (modest extra cost), then a live band on Friday/Saturday and DJ on Sundays. On the Sunday night we visited, their Valentine's Day special was a real bargain: $60 per couple for a three-course dinner (with sangria and a rose), the flamenco show and DJ dancing. Our tapas appetizers, my skirt steak and my wife's seafood paella were outstanding, and our waitress was very accommodating - bringing the food at a leisurely pace and not constantly hitting us up for drinks. On Sunday evenings, they even bring in a local taco crew that sets up shop in the back patio to keep clients fed well after the kitchen closes. This place also draws in a lot of excellent couples dancers - a surprising number of whom are not even Latino - and everybody had a blast. The ladies who arrive without a date will have no problem finding many capable male dancer partners. The A/C is powerful, the music level is not deafening, the whole place is quite clean (and non-smoking, of course) and they do a good job of maintaining the crowd (though not a concern on the might we were there). The management clearly knows this business, even having a very good security guy in the parking lot who checks up on everyone approaching a car in the lot - all very considerate and we would definitely like to come back, even if it about 1-1/2 hour drive. Muchas Gracias!

Best way to describe this restaurant is "authentic" it truly is a flavor of Spain, there is nothing like it. I have been there a handful and highly recommend it.

Four of us dined. We appear at the entrance 20-30 after opening, and find the door locked. We weren't sure of the entrance, so walked to the other end. Found a back kitchen door open and holler in for somebody. Ask them if the are open, to which he said yes, then tell him the front door is locked. Hmm, this doesn't look good. We enter and the place is dark, dismal, and hot. On our search for an entrance, we saw a patio; we ask if we can sit on the patio and are taken to the area. We are presented with two tables with chairs and filthy dirty table cloths. At any second, I was expecting the employee to pick up the table cloths, turn them around, slap them with his bar rag and say "there you go. But he did none of that, and as a result, we ate at table with dirty table cloths. It looked like someone just locked the door from the prior meal and didn't care to clean up or change out the soiled linen. The meals were mediocre, with one of them having undercooked chicken. We were there on a Tuesday night and the place was deserted. The bartender was our waiter. Makes me wonder if this place only does good business on Flaminco nights. But I truly cannot recommend a place that doesn't have the ability to open at opening time and to have a clean place and linens when shift starts. Makes one worry about the condition of the kitchen and safe sanitary practices.
