It is all done on the honor system here, you arrive, see who is already in line and then watch who comes after you. I have never seen a dispute about position here, there is no list made. The clients seem to be mostly regulars or friends who are becoming regulars. A nice meal with an extra nice view across the small marina and the channel to Balboa Island. The menu does not vary much, the service is good, it doesn't vary much either. Comfort food, breakfast severed all day, my choice is usually eggs Benedict with ham, hashed brown potatoes. The wait staff are almost family, you get to know them, and what is going in their lives. You find the occasional "camper" the two guys who will not leave, and linger over the last minutes, seemingly forever. I find the cheeseburger to my taste as well, and I think they have the second best pickles I have ever had. Sure not traveling hours to get the best as I remember them from long ago. She has her favorite Tuna Salad, nearly every time we come here. I haven't a clue how they do it, but it is always better than home. Nothing fancy, this is Newport Beach from an era long ago. Only in the last several years have they accepted credit cards. Enjoy the Galley while it is here.

This 3rd generation tiny marina-side diner (7 booths and 10 counter seats) is a local's favorite. Get there early or wait outside on the bench until they call you in. Great breakfast spot if you're an early riser. Super-friendly staff.

Out of the way. Difficult to locate. FIND IT!! A Newport institution for especially great breakfasts and lunches. Stand in line to get in if you must. Bring your newspaper or Kindle. As seats at the counter or small tables open up, you enter in the order of your arrival. No lists to sign into. Everyone respectfully knows their place in line. Omelets, waffles, pancakes. Burgers, salads, fries. You cannot go wrong. Enjoy a meal with the locals that have been coming here for decades. (If you found this review helpful, please tap the Thumbs Up Tab below)

Loved the outdoor seating and the menu. Parents and kids loved the breakfast burritos, bagels, and muffins. Burritos could be made gluten free. Dad loved the coffee. Mom loved the parfait.

Cute little place with only about 7 tables and a long counter. Fairly large sized portions for breakfast and lunch. Comfort food with a few healthy options. Soups and specials of the day....loved the pea soup! Prices are great, especially for the area! We had the same server the 3x we were there, and while she wasn't rude, she wasn't friendly and never smiled. The view is beautiful!
